Scarcity vs. Abundance

Abundance is defined as “a very large quantity of something.” Scarcity is defined as “having unlimited wants and needs, in a world of limited resources.” Satan promotes a scarcity mindset. We are led to believe that there is not enough to go around. There is not enough money, not enough time, not enough anything. The effects of this scarcity mentality is the ten commandments in reverse order from covet, to bearing false witness, to steeling, to adultery, and finally to murder (Descending order from 10 to 5).  This mentality shows itself in that very order. When you see a child lying, that stems from coveting. An adult who commits adultery has stolen (perhaps virtue from another), has lied (to themselves as well), and has coveted. You get the point.

My definition of scarcity is “a city of scared people, who live in a state of fear.”
