Significance in Egypt

The significance in Egypt is written in the book of Abraham, in the Pearl of Great Price. Here we learn that the first Pharaoh was the grandson of Ham, who is the son of Noah. Since Pharaoh was the son of Ham’s daughter and the priesthood was patriarchal, Pharaoh could not have the priesthood. However, Pharaoh did mimic all the rites of the priesthood with exactness. These rites were preserved in the ancient tombs of Egypt for those who seek to obtain. Joseph put these facsimiles in to assist us in connecting to heaven.

Abraham 1:26

“26. Pharaoh, being a righteous man, established his kingdom and judged his people wisely and justly all his days, seeking earnestly to imitate that order established by the fathers in the first generations, in the days of the first patriarchal reign, even in the reign of Adam, and also of Noah, his father, who blessed him with the blessings of the earth, and with the blessings of wisdom, but cursed him as pertaining to the Priesthood.”

The following is meant for you to ponder the significance. The key point is that Christ has the knowledge and desires to share it with those who seek Him.

This is the first time that I post an image. If you can see it, great. If you can’t, please respond so that I can try to fix it on my end. If the image is not legible, add that to your comments so that I can figure it out.
