The Magic Recipe to Fix All Problems

I know the magic recipe to solve all problems in yourself and your loved ones:

If the loved one has a problem with addictions:

  1. Develop trust
  2. Speak the words of Christ
  3. They will fix themselves

If the loved one has a problem with sexuality:

  1. Develop trust
  2. Speak the words of Christ
  3. They will fix themselves

If the loved one has been victimized and is angry:

  1. Develop trust
  2. Speak the words of Christ
  3. They will fix themselves

If the loved one is depressed:

  1. Develop trust
  2. Speak the words of Christ
  3. They will fix themselves

If the loved one is sick or afflicted:

  1. Develop trust
  2. Speak the words of Christ
  3. They will fix themselves

If the loved one is imprisoned:

  1. Develop trust
  2. Speak the words of Christ
  3. They will fix themselves

The common thread is quite easy to see. They must first be “a loved one.” You can only develop trust away from the issues that are sensitive, so don’t dive right into the problem. The problem is really none of your business. The problem is between them and God. All you are to do is create a relationship in which whey will allow you to speak the words of Christ, without some manipulative or coercive objective in mind. Your only objective is to speak the words of Christ as often as it will be allowed. Finally, you must trust in God that He will do the rest with them as an individual.

The last step is really important. We all have a tendency to try to fix the problem. But what do we know? We are ignorant. Let them fix themselves. Hopefully they will cleave unto the words of Christ, thus beginning a personal relationship with the Savior. That should be our every desire, to obtain a personal relationship to Christ, and to allow all to obtain their personal relationship with Christ.

Lets not get in the way of the work. Let’s talk of Christ, so that all may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

  1. I totally agree! Looking back, too much emphasis was placed in trying to resolve the problem. When really, all that was needed was love. Love them, that they may see how much you care about their well being. Only after then, will they begin to listen to the message. The message you bring from the words of Christ.
Right on, Rob. Thanks for the reminder!
