Key of Knowledge (926 Words)

Godliness is to be near God, and the power of Godliness is to know God, thus God is the Key of Knowledge. False teachers fail to come to God, stand in the way of others approaching God, fearing their own failure, and proclaiming a corrupt message. Eternal life is to know God.

Those who are near God are Godly. To be in the presence of God requires nothing less than Godliness, otherwise His presence alone is sufficient for the ungodly to wish the mountains would cover them in their guilt and shame. The Savior has provided a way for all to be Godly, while in the flesh. He offers the Key of Knowledge. He offers the Holy Ghost, which gives access to the mind and will of God.

Moses 6:61

“61. Therefore it is given to abide in you; the record of heaven; the Comforter; the peaceable things of immortal glory; the truth of all things; that which quickeneth all things, which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things, and hath all power according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice, and judgment.”

The power of Godliness is to know God. Having been near God, an individual comes to know God, and from that knowledge they can act in confidence that what they are doing is pleasing to the God that they know. It is through confidence that power is produced.

If someone were to tell me that they’re sure that they saw Dad dancing on the streets of Waikiki, I would know that they got the wrong Dad. However, if someone reported that they saw Dad at a home improvement show, a lumber yard, a construction site, a chicken feed store, a laundry supply house, or a green house, the certainty that they were talking about our Dad is high. And if they claimed seeing him at all of those places, I have extreme confidence that they knew who I was, and knew who my Dad is. Likewise Godliness is to be near to God, and the power of Godliness is to know God. What matters most is the Key of Knowledge.

False teachers are described in Luke:

Luke 11:52

“52. Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the Key of Knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.”

False teachers have never experienced what they try teaching. Luke is clear that false teachers haven’t entered into the heavens themselves, and when they see people trying to do what they’ve failed to do, false teachers stand in the way of those that were in fact entering in. They remove Key of Knowledge. They prevent salvation and redemption, discouraging those who are working at returning into the presence of the Lord while in the flesh. They proclaim a corrupted message, even the philosophies of men, mingled with scriptures. And they are certain that it cannot happen, because they’ve never had it happen to them. In their ignorance they establish rules, corporate standards, uniformity, and massive marketing campaigns, to justify their ignorance, and they label it a “House of Order.” When they make their claims, they do it in Christ’s name, taking His name in vain. It is all in vain, if you fail to actually know God and Christ.

Ignore the ignorant, and keep seeking His face in the flesh. Those who are wise will not respect the lie intended to deceive true disciples to stop seeking after Christ. Instead, they will awake and arise by studying the words of Christ, to know God.

John 17:3

“3. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Conclusion: Knowing God and Christ is the only way to eternal life. It doesn’t matter how many apostles you know, how many scriptures you memorized and can recite, or how many months of consecutive visit/home teaching you have done in your life. It doesn’t matter how many names you have gathered, and done ordinances for, none of it matters if all you have is ignorance. Sealing yourselves to the ignorant dead, is sealing yourselves to the damned. However, when you have knowledge, then you have value to your dead, and you can be a savior on mount Zion.

When you have the Key of Knowledge, what you have is the power of Godliness, and you are Godlike. The Holy Ghost is offered to those who will receive it, to make men and women more Godlike. The beatitudes say blessed are… or Godlike is… and instructions are given there, to assist those who sincerely seek Christ to become Godlike. When you have been redeemed, and brought back into the presence of God, then you are Godly, and have the power of Godliness, and can testify that you do know, not merely believing, who Christ and God is. Then you can save your kindred dead by teaching them about the God that you know.

Don’t be mad because the gospel doesn’t work from your vantage point as an LDS, following traditions of men that have kept you outside of the presence of the Lord in the flesh. Repent, simply turn around, be humble and don’t grumble. Just search the words of Christ so that you can be reconnected to the Key of Knowledge. It will not only give you an advantage now, it will be to your benefit in the life to come. Don’t let the fear of man stop you from Knowing God and Christ. Once you know them, then will your confidence wax strong.

Final Final- Governing Principles (993 Words)

Governing Principles

Governing Principles are prepared for the benefit of new fellowships, to maintain an eye single to the glory of God, as they navigate in a new environment of self-governance.

Salvation is individual, requiring a personal relationship with Christ. The doctrine of Christ makes this possible through faith in Christ, repentance, and baptism. The Holy Spirt is the mind and will of God. Christ and God the Father share the same mind and will. Thus, receiving the Holy Ghost provides individuals with the ability to access the mind and will of God.

Fellowships exist to assist the individual on their path to becoming one with Christ. They are to govern themselves freely as the spirit dictates to them, choosing to gather when, where, and with whom they please. Meeting in fellowships provides the opportunity to teach, serve, and learn from both the Spirit, and one another’s experiences. Equality requires that no one is above another and that all individuals have value. Regional and general conferences ought to adhere to the same principles and guidelines as fellowships, and can be called and organized by anyone at any time.

Tithing is to relieve the poor among you. It can be collected and distributed as a group, a fellowship, or as individuals. If done as a group or fellowship, tithes accumulated in a common fund must be distributed by the common consent of the group or fellowship. Separate fellowships can assist one another on a case by case basis, maintaining independence and autonomy. Tithes are not to be accumulated for wealth. If there are no poor among you, excess tithes can be contributed to the needs of a temple.

Performing ordinances, such as baptism and sacrament, requires priesthood. Priesthood is confined to men because of the fall. In order to exercise priesthood in fellowships, three key elements are required of priesthood bearers: ordination, sustaining, and confirmation.

Ordination: A man with the priesthood lays hands on another man’s head, calls him by name, and confers upon him the priesthood in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sustaining: A vote of seven women is required to sustain a man to the priesthood. If the man is married, his wife must be one of the seven women, or he is unauthorized to exercise priesthood among fellowships.

Confirmation: Ultimately, the man must obtain confirmation of his priesthood from heaven.

If there is not a man authorized to confer priesthood, a man may perform the ordinances of baptism and sacrament within his family, with the confirmation of heaven alone. Record of priesthood ordination, sustaining, and confirmation should be kept in the personal journals of the man given priesthood and the women who sustained him. A certificate, signed by the seven sustaining women, should accompany the man should he perform ordinances outside of his family. The man is responsible to record and know his priesthood lineage.

In the event that priesthood is abused, exercising priesthood in fellowships can be revoked by a fair trial where a unanimous vote of at least twelve women vote to end his authority among fellowships.

The ordinance of baptism is a sign to heaven of an individual’s choice to receive the gospel of Christ. It does not offer membership into a fellowship or church. A man who has priesthood may baptize all those who desire as follows:

  • Both go down and stand in the water.
  • The man with priesthood will call the person being baptized by name, saying: “Having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.”
  • And then immerse them in the water, and come again out of the water

As circumstances allow, the ordinance of baptism should be performed in living waters. A record of the baptism ought to be kept in a personal journal and also submitted to a central recorder so that the names of those baptized will be preserved within the temple of God.

The ordinance of sacrament should be performed as prescribed in the scriptures. It instructs that all kneel. The emblems of bread and wine are to be used as symbols of the flesh and the atoning blood of Christ. If any are opposed to alcohol, or have a medical condition preventing the use of wine, red grape juice may be used as an alternative. Bitter wine, in remembrance of Christ’s blood, is symbolic and appropriate. A man with the priesthood will pray to the Father in the name of Christ saying:

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

The oneness of fellowships is a testimony to the world that Christ is the redeemer of all. Agency must be respected and preserved, allowing new fellowships the freedom to learn correct principles and govern themselves. Keep your eye single to the glory of God. Seek to receive God’s mind and will. Bear one another’s burdens that they may be light. Associate with one another as equals. God will gather his choice fruit.

The Word! (799 Words)

I used to think that in order for a people to unite under a common law, everyone needed to have common principles that govern them. I have been enlightened, and learned that laws change to fit the the progress of a people. Our best chance of success would be to unify on laws we can agree on, and begin, like a seed, to grow into greater and greater law as we all progress together.

I was mistaken to think that people who differ in progression, could unite upon common principles. For a month my wife and I have been participating in a group effort to write a governing principles (GP) document for “fellowships.” We have invested the effort of wrestling with others to accomplish it, and have failed. We couldn’t understand why, within our little fellowship of five people, writing GP’s flowed easily, …but when gathering with representatives of other fellowships, it produced a totally different result! On the surface people were polite, but not only did we fail to produce a united GP document, feelings have been hurt, words have bruised and injured, and trust has been strained to the point of being almost totally lost. It is a real “natural disaster,” …as the “natural man” is an enemy to God, and we have responded as “natural men,” falling to pieces like glass. I should have seen this within our own family, but I didn’t, and had to learn it through sad experience.

I have come to a greater understanding of our effort to come to God by obedience to the words of Christ. Laws change to fit the the progress of a people. As people progress toward God, God gives “commandments not a few.” However, as people become more corrupt, laws are amended, and reduced to justify sins. In this blog I will address how laws can progress a people toward Zion, …as our constitution already is a prime example of how good law is amended, to erode a people, by justifying their sins, through a democratic process. Consider a law that prepares a people for Zion.

God is the same yesterday and forever, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. The plan of salvation is to bridge the gap. He gives us laws in scripture, based upon our level of desire to keep it, and write it upon our hearts. As a lower law is written upon our hearts, a higher law can continue our progression, until we are precisely what He is: gods and goddesses. His words, written in scripture, are static, allowing all who truly love Him to show their love, by understanding the words given, applying them as they understand, so that the words “become them!” That is how an individual writes them upon their hearts (BTW: it is not scripture mastery). That is why John the Beloved identified Christ as the Word!

John 1:1-5

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

4. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

(I capitalized and bolded Him” to represent Christ as the person who is being spoken of. It is my innovation, but it represents the proper application of the author. Take it or leave it as you please.)

More word is given by God when we follow the example of Christ by writing them upon our hearts, until we become like Christ ourselves. That is how all can progress line upon line, precept upon precept, grace for grace, and from grace to grace. As God is the one who knows all, it is God’s words that unite. A people who are willing to be governed by God’s words need only write them, and progress their unity when God gives more word.

I have learned that our best chance of success would be to unify on laws we can agree on, and begin, like a seed, to grow into greater and greater law as we all progress together. Too many words all at once, possesses too much risk. We must go from one small line to the next, letting God do the heavy lifting of uniting our hearts and minds, by growing the word within us. That is the tree that produces the sweet fruit (Alma 32:42)

Conclusion: Lets begin to identify the law we can be governed by, as a family, and plant that seed, using the words of Christ available to us all. Then allow the words of Christ to grow within us, uniting our family into the eternities.

Phase Changes! (698 Words)

The Path of God

The properties of water offer great instruction. The direction of phase changes offer even more understanding about revelation. When our minds are aligned with God, science suddenly becomes less academic, and more reality.

Water is unique as an element because of the deep symbolism it houses. Christ refers to himself as the waters of life, that if we drink, we would never thirst. There are three kingdoms: Telestial (this earth), Terrestrial (a Paradisiacal Glory), and Celestial (seven heavens). Look at the picture above, and you can see the three different levels. Joseph Smith prophesied, having seen into the seventh heaven (seven being complete), and the eighth level, being the hidden place where God dwells (represented in the image above by the eight pointed star of Melchizedek). That sets the stage so that we can learn something new about the significance of water.

Water is made up of two molecules, one part hydrogen, and two parts oxygen. The sun is made up of 91% hydrogen. Without oxygen, life on earth could not exist. Consider the symbolism in the make-up of a water molecule. Hydrogen (light from the sun), combined with two oxygen particles (man and woman), to form water. Maybe this is true, or maybe it’s just me, …you’ll have to decide for yourself if there’s any merit to this concept. Oxygen is also the eighth element on the periodic chart, by atomic weight. This seems to be pointing to the potential of man to become God, residing in the eighth heaven, or the hidden place. While these characteristics of water may or may not be symbolic, and may just be speculation on my part, I am certain that phase changes are a physical property that directly relates to the heavens!

Phase changes of water travels in two directions. The first direction is adding heat. Heat makes ice change from a solid, into a liquid (water). When more heat is added, water goes from a liquid to a gas (steam).  The second direction is reducing heat, or cooling. When cooled, steam distills, and becomes water. Morning dew on grass is an example. Moisture in the air, touches a cool blade of grass, causing the moisture from the air to phase change, from gas (steam), into water (dew). Further cooling turns water into ice. Frost is an example (something you Hawaiians don’t get much of- thank goodness). When seasonal temperatures drop, dew freezes, creating frost. In the mainland we scrape frost from car windows, so we can see when we drive, as temperatures begin dropping. A lot of money is spent on frost scrapers every year.

Here’s the spiritual application of one direction (heating). Consider yourself ice when you are hard hearted. With sufficient heat from the source of light (God), you will experience a melting into water. Water can take the shape of any container it is placed in, and is easily directed, as opposed to ice. Add even more heat from the light of God, and water can ascend into the heavens. Scriptures call heating “QUICKENING,” as molecules are quickened into excitement, representing heat!

Here’s the spiritual application of the other direction (cooling). When revelation comes to you from the heavens (gas phase), it is going from a high temperature (God), to a low temperature (you). That is why God refers to it as a distilling. It is not just water, it is pure water, clean water, …representing pure knowledge. And it appears out of what seems to be nowhere, distilling upon your soul as the dews from heaven. It doesn’t flood you. It simply appears at the right time, and in the right place.

When our minds are aligned with God, science suddenly becomes less academic, and more a reality. Knowing God lifts you up to become equal to Him. All men who are meek and lowly of heart (soft) can have their molecules excited by the increase of light offered from God, and phase change the hell out of here!

Conclusion: You have complained about my perspective on the gospel that offends. Heat is offensive to ice. Your responses have been cold. But, I’m not done with you yet. I’m just warming-up!

Two-Approaches: Decisions or Principles (772 Words)

I’m committed to reduce your pain, and increase my efficiency. From here on out, I’m committed to reducing my blogs to eight hundred words or less. If I am unable to do it, I haven’t thought it through well enough to write about it. So there!

Now I’m going to teach you about the EXTREMELY simple subject of atonement!? Jokes! But I do want to write about oneness, and that has everything to do with atonement. Everyone has a different perspective on life, and for that reason, “being one,” based on a decision will never succeed for very long. We can temporarily find oneness on things we have in common. Lives go through different paths, providing unique experiences, adding value, and produce greater perspectives. Decisions add perspective, but doesn’t produce oneness. Often times it produces contention, as one person’s experiences are valued greater than another, unintentionally translating into one person valued above another. I suggest never attempting to be one based upon decisions, perspective, or experiences.

Instead of being one in decisions, I recommend “Principles.” God’s principles represent God’s mind and will. When everyone has God’s mind and will as their own, their decisions will naturally converge into oneness as a byproduct. “Decisions” can be different, …but they will eventually converge to compliment one another, as God’s mind and will increases in us. Zion is the work of God’s mind and will, not the work of manipulating decisions. I am confident that anyone who puts God’s principles first, above ALL ELSE, will find oneness with me, as I feel it important to do the same. Our decisions may conflict. Our views might seem to oppose each other initially, but God’s mind and will has no contradiction, and will converge into one.

Ignorance of God’s principles forces us to depend on “decisions.” Being commanded in all things requires a decision-maker, …and God calls this “decision-approach” slothful and unwise. In our ignorance, men coerce, manipulate, use unrighteous dominion, and use compulsion, to produce a resultant decision. They replace their trust in God, with a dependency upon the arm of flesh. When there are differences in opinions, the result is conflict and contention, or peaceful withdraw, …which still produces separation. Separation is the opposite of oneness. In every volume of scripture, anyone understanding this blog can recognize when the mind and will of God is leading people, or when the arm of flesh is leading instead. The indicator: is there peace, or is there war?Peace is God’s Principles leading. War is decisions leading.

The scripture project I am involved with is currently full of contention, wether people want to believe it or not. If at the end of the project we have a document, despite how incredible it’s content, that has been created based solely on decisions (contention), …I will not join that covenant! I will be left alone, not belonging to the Mormons, and not belonging to this covenant movement. However, if those participating in this project repent of their contention, and depend solely upon God’s Principles to unite us, finding oneness in the mind and will of God, …whatever covenant we produce in the end, I will receive it in FULL FORCE!

Consider what is most important in the world today by America’s approach to war. It is clear that the world is ignorant of God’s Principles. If the scripture committee, and the people, continues the contention in this project, they too will have proven that our project is not led by God’s mind and will either. Likewise, our familie’s contention indicates the same.

Conclusion: Mom’s prayers on my behalf is for me to be a Mormon, focusing solely on a decision, and does not consider God’s Principles of oneness. As long as you have the same tendency to manipulate a decision, rather than depending solely upon God’s Principles, you will find our family in contention.

Each one of you agreed that our project would be done in oneness. I am holding US ALL to that word, as I believe that a man’s word is his bond. We have chosen to use the “decisions” approach in the past, …and our ignorance of “God’s Principles” has been thoroughly tested. If we continue to complete this project, based on “decisions,” NOT repenting of our ignorance of “God’s Principles,” …then when I have completed my full purchase, I will separate from the project, desiring to own none of it with you. I cannot afford to pretend to oneness. I will have considered myself true to my word, and considered your decision to seek a different oneness as a sign for me to separate from this effort.

The Law (1244 Words)

In response to Mom’s latest post, the law has value, when men are ignorant, but must be abandoned when they come unto Christ. She used the following scripture to argue against my last post that “the law” has value, and I would agree. But the bigger picture is ignored, that our responsibility was to come unto Christ, through His principles, which is His mind and will, …and then the law has little use for us. Here is the scripture she quoted:

D&C 58:20-22

“20. Let no man think he is ruler; but let God rule him that judgeth, according to the counsel of his own will, or, in other words, him that counseleth or sitteth upon the judgment seat.

21. Let no man break the laws of the land, for he that keepeth the laws of God hath NO NEED TO BREAK THE LAWS OF THE LAND.

22. Wherefore, be subject to the powers that be, UNTIL he reigns whose right it is to reign, and subdues all enemies under his feet.

In wickedness the law is the lowest form of governance, to maintain a form of peace and protection. The constitution of the united states, although inspired of God, was intended only to provide those on the promised land “righteousness.” And when righteousness abounds, the true ruler of all can lead the people into “more righteousness.” In righteousness, the law is meaningless, because living in righteousness proposes no threat to the laws of the land, but adds greater value “within” the law. When righteousness is in the hearts of the people of the promised land, the constitution is no longer useful, …and is dead, …and must be abandoned.  That is why the saying goes, “You can’t regulate an honest man.” An honest man regulates himself, and he doesn’t depend on the law of the land to reign himself in.

The early saints sought to establish Zion, but failed to do it because of jarrings, strifes contentions, malice, etc. They were unable to establish righteousness, and failed at their attempt to be one. They could not endure God’s chastening, to be sanctified by Him, to prove that they would not only accept the covenant, …but that they would also keep it (D&C 101:1-6). They fell apart because they could not live God’s PRINCIPLES. For this reason, the Lord “SUFFERED” the early saints to live the laws and constitution of the people, so that at least they were able to maintain the rights of their agency and all men were protected as to the flesh, according to “just” and “holy” PRINCIPLES.

D&C 101:76-79

“76. And again I say unto you, those who have been scattered by their enemies, it is my will that they should continue to importune for redress, and redemption, by the hands of those who are placed as rulers and are in authority over you—

77. According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have “suffered” to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles;

78. That every man may act in doctrine and principle pertaining to futurity, according to the moral agency which I have given unto him, that every man may be accountable for his own sins in the day of judgment.

79. Therefore, it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another.”

So, if you want to claim being governed by the laws of the land, or in other words the laws of men, …that is your choice! However, it is not the only choice available. There is a covenant, that if you accept and keep it, God gives you land for your inheritance. But it necessitates that you keep unspotted from the world, and remember His principles to understand His mind and will. Those who will do that, will inherit the earth, that she will offer up a multiplicity of abundance:

D&C 59:16-20

“16. Verily I say, that inasmuch as ye do this, the fulness of the earth is yours, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and that which climbeth upon the trees and walketh upon the earth;

17. Yea, and the herb, and the good things which come of the earth, whether for food or for raiment, or for houses, or for barns, or for orchards, or for gardens, or for vineyards;

18. Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart;

19. Yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to enliven the soul.

20. And it pleaseth God that he hath given all these things unto man; for unto this end were they made to be used, with judgment, not to excess, neither by extortion.”

If you want to claim the laws of the land, go right ahead. Don’t let me stand in your way. But, living by that law, and failing to understand the principles behind it, will cause your suffering. The constitution, at its origination, was founded upon righteous principles, and you could gain much by understanding and living those righteous principles. However, the constitution is currently “on-the-ropes” and “down-for-the-count,” and it’s principles are generating plagues, famines, and pestilences. So if that is what you want for your reward, I’ll leave you to it. However, if you would “consider” for a moment what I am offering, the covenant, and it’s promised blessings, you might want to consider a different approach. A PRINCIPLE APPROACH!

Conclusion: We must not break the laws of the land, but using the laws of the land as an excuse to not rise-up is a LAME excuse for not rising-up! Lucky for you, Christ healed the lame, so He can heal you too. The covenant will work, even within the laws of the land, as they are PRINCIPLE-CENTERED, and not merely circumstantial. The laws of the land cannot regulate PRINCIPLE. Man cannot control PRINCIPLE. The scriptures offer PRINCIPLE. They are applicable in all dispensations before this one, and can be applied in this one just the same. That is how God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, by principles.

Free yourself from your PRIDE by considering what I am saying. Put aside your traditions from the LDS church, or any other institution you have been subscribing to for years (banking, academic, government, social, etc). Putting those traditions aside for a short time, to consider another perspective, will not threaten your standing in those institutions. No one will know that you’ve considered it. It will be between you and God alone. I don’t even care if I didn’t know that you considered what I said. But, if you are HUMBLE, then you would consider any and all messages that claim to be of God. I claim this message to be of God.

The Holy Ghost will bring all things to your remembrance “IF” you have been taught of Christ. If not, you will have no remembrance. You must submit to God’s mind and will first. And by the power of the Holy Ghost you can know the truth of all things. But, when you ask, you are required to ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, acting no hypocrisy. You must follow the example of Joseph Smith, who asked to know the truth SO THAT HE COULD ACT UPON IT.

I recommend you do the same. Don’t be LAME!
