Do the Work! (584 Words)

Godlike are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost. If the Holy Spirit is the mind and will of God, those who are filled with the Holy Ghost have access to the mind and will of God, and are Godlike. The effect of the Holy Ghost upon those who are of the house of Israel is pure intelligence.

Godliness is to be near God, and the power of Godliness is knowing who God is. To be Godlike is to have both,  being near God, and knowing God. Thus, the beatitudes are attributes that must be developed to be near God, and to know God. Being poor in spirit, leads to mourning, which leads to meekness, and becomes hungering and thirsting for righteousness. The reason why scripture study hasn’t taken much priority is because you aren’t poor in spirit, haven’t cause to mourn, and aren’t meek. And since you don’t hunger and thirst for righteousness, you go on seeking the image of your own God, rather than being filled with the mind and will of the only true and living God. Without being poor, mourning the condition of ignorance you find yourselves in, and meekness to be taught, you are left with the ghost or spirit that animates you, which is not sanctified or made holy.

However, when the appropriate spirit is poor, causing you to mourn your ignorance, positioning yourself in the position ready to be taught of God in meekness, only then will you hunger and thirst for righteousness, and the scriptures will not only have value, it will have more value than other things occupying your time. As you are filled with the Holy Ghost, you are prepared to learn mercy and obtain mercy, have your hearts purified, and you will become a prince of peace.

The effect of the Holy Ghost upon those who are of the house of Israel is pure intelligence. When you succeed at obtaining sanctification and you have a Holy Ghost, don’t be surprised when suddenly what wasn’t in your minds before suddenly appears, and you understand God better, and have greater confidence in His presence.

Conclusion: Interpretation is a tricky thing. If you don’t have the same spirit as the author when he wrote the record, your interpretation will be filtered through your limited experience on Earth. However, when the same spirit animating the author, at the time he wrote it, occupies you as you read it, pure intelligence will flow to you. How you read the scriptures matters. How you interpret them matters. No one can do that work for you.

Mom, you have condemned my interpretation simply because it isn’t the same interpretation that you subscribe to as an LDS member. You have left the prescribed interpretation to your leaders, rather than coming to your own conclusions, by studying them out in your heart and in your mind, and seeking wisdom, by asking God if these things are not true. If you have, you haven’t done much, other than to ask. Just because my interpretations aren’t the same as your’s, that doesn’t make them false. You could simply be ignorant.

In your innocence, we continue our conversations. But, innocence does not fix the problem of ignorance. Our conversations could be so much better. You gotta do the work of fixing the ignorance. That requires you to be poor in spirit, to mourn, to be meek, and to hunger and thirst for righteousness. Do the Work!

Key of Knowledge (926 Words)

Godliness is to be near God, and the power of Godliness is to know God, thus God is the Key of Knowledge. False teachers fail to come to God, stand in the way of others approaching God, fearing their own failure, and proclaiming a corrupt message. Eternal life is to know God.

Those who are near God are Godly. To be in the presence of God requires nothing less than Godliness, otherwise His presence alone is sufficient for the ungodly to wish the mountains would cover them in their guilt and shame. The Savior has provided a way for all to be Godly, while in the flesh. He offers the Key of Knowledge. He offers the Holy Ghost, which gives access to the mind and will of God.

Moses 6:61

“61. Therefore it is given to abide in you; the record of heaven; the Comforter; the peaceable things of immortal glory; the truth of all things; that which quickeneth all things, which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things, and hath all power according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice, and judgment.”

The power of Godliness is to know God. Having been near God, an individual comes to know God, and from that knowledge they can act in confidence that what they are doing is pleasing to the God that they know. It is through confidence that power is produced.

If someone were to tell me that they’re sure that they saw Dad dancing on the streets of Waikiki, I would know that they got the wrong Dad. However, if someone reported that they saw Dad at a home improvement show, a lumber yard, a construction site, a chicken feed store, a laundry supply house, or a green house, the certainty that they were talking about our Dad is high. And if they claimed seeing him at all of those places, I have extreme confidence that they knew who I was, and knew who my Dad is. Likewise Godliness is to be near to God, and the power of Godliness is to know God. What matters most is the Key of Knowledge.

False teachers are described in Luke:

Luke 11:52

“52. Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the Key of Knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.”

False teachers have never experienced what they try teaching. Luke is clear that false teachers haven’t entered into the heavens themselves, and when they see people trying to do what they’ve failed to do, false teachers stand in the way of those that were in fact entering in. They remove Key of Knowledge. They prevent salvation and redemption, discouraging those who are working at returning into the presence of the Lord while in the flesh. They proclaim a corrupted message, even the philosophies of men, mingled with scriptures. And they are certain that it cannot happen, because they’ve never had it happen to them. In their ignorance they establish rules, corporate standards, uniformity, and massive marketing campaigns, to justify their ignorance, and they label it a “House of Order.” When they make their claims, they do it in Christ’s name, taking His name in vain. It is all in vain, if you fail to actually know God and Christ.

Ignore the ignorant, and keep seeking His face in the flesh. Those who are wise will not respect the lie intended to deceive true disciples to stop seeking after Christ. Instead, they will awake and arise by studying the words of Christ, to know God.

John 17:3

“3. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Conclusion: Knowing God and Christ is the only way to eternal life. It doesn’t matter how many apostles you know, how many scriptures you memorized and can recite, or how many months of consecutive visit/home teaching you have done in your life. It doesn’t matter how many names you have gathered, and done ordinances for, none of it matters if all you have is ignorance. Sealing yourselves to the ignorant dead, is sealing yourselves to the damned. However, when you have knowledge, then you have value to your dead, and you can be a savior on mount Zion.

When you have the Key of Knowledge, what you have is the power of Godliness, and you are Godlike. The Holy Ghost is offered to those who will receive it, to make men and women more Godlike. The beatitudes say blessed are… or Godlike is… and instructions are given there, to assist those who sincerely seek Christ to become Godlike. When you have been redeemed, and brought back into the presence of God, then you are Godly, and have the power of Godliness, and can testify that you do know, not merely believing, who Christ and God is. Then you can save your kindred dead by teaching them about the God that you know.

Don’t be mad because the gospel doesn’t work from your vantage point as an LDS, following traditions of men that have kept you outside of the presence of the Lord in the flesh. Repent, simply turn around, be humble and don’t grumble. Just search the words of Christ so that you can be reconnected to the Key of Knowledge. It will not only give you an advantage now, it will be to your benefit in the life to come. Don’t let the fear of man stop you from Knowing God and Christ. Once you know them, then will your confidence wax strong.

Final Final- Governing Principles (993 Words)

Governing Principles

Governing Principles are prepared for the benefit of new fellowships, to maintain an eye single to the glory of God, as they navigate in a new environment of self-governance.

Salvation is individual, requiring a personal relationship with Christ. The doctrine of Christ makes this possible through faith in Christ, repentance, and baptism. The Holy Spirt is the mind and will of God. Christ and God the Father share the same mind and will. Thus, receiving the Holy Ghost provides individuals with the ability to access the mind and will of God.

Fellowships exist to assist the individual on their path to becoming one with Christ. They are to govern themselves freely as the spirit dictates to them, choosing to gather when, where, and with whom they please. Meeting in fellowships provides the opportunity to teach, serve, and learn from both the Spirit, and one another’s experiences. Equality requires that no one is above another and that all individuals have value. Regional and general conferences ought to adhere to the same principles and guidelines as fellowships, and can be called and organized by anyone at any time.

Tithing is to relieve the poor among you. It can be collected and distributed as a group, a fellowship, or as individuals. If done as a group or fellowship, tithes accumulated in a common fund must be distributed by the common consent of the group or fellowship. Separate fellowships can assist one another on a case by case basis, maintaining independence and autonomy. Tithes are not to be accumulated for wealth. If there are no poor among you, excess tithes can be contributed to the needs of a temple.

Performing ordinances, such as baptism and sacrament, requires priesthood. Priesthood is confined to men because of the fall. In order to exercise priesthood in fellowships, three key elements are required of priesthood bearers: ordination, sustaining, and confirmation.

Ordination: A man with the priesthood lays hands on another man’s head, calls him by name, and confers upon him the priesthood in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sustaining: A vote of seven women is required to sustain a man to the priesthood. If the man is married, his wife must be one of the seven women, or he is unauthorized to exercise priesthood among fellowships.

Confirmation: Ultimately, the man must obtain confirmation of his priesthood from heaven.

If there is not a man authorized to confer priesthood, a man may perform the ordinances of baptism and sacrament within his family, with the confirmation of heaven alone. Record of priesthood ordination, sustaining, and confirmation should be kept in the personal journals of the man given priesthood and the women who sustained him. A certificate, signed by the seven sustaining women, should accompany the man should he perform ordinances outside of his family. The man is responsible to record and know his priesthood lineage.

In the event that priesthood is abused, exercising priesthood in fellowships can be revoked by a fair trial where a unanimous vote of at least twelve women vote to end his authority among fellowships.

The ordinance of baptism is a sign to heaven of an individual’s choice to receive the gospel of Christ. It does not offer membership into a fellowship or church. A man who has priesthood may baptize all those who desire as follows:

  • Both go down and stand in the water.
  • The man with priesthood will call the person being baptized by name, saying: “Having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.”
  • And then immerse them in the water, and come again out of the water

As circumstances allow, the ordinance of baptism should be performed in living waters. A record of the baptism ought to be kept in a personal journal and also submitted to a central recorder so that the names of those baptized will be preserved within the temple of God.

The ordinance of sacrament should be performed as prescribed in the scriptures. It instructs that all kneel. The emblems of bread and wine are to be used as symbols of the flesh and the atoning blood of Christ. If any are opposed to alcohol, or have a medical condition preventing the use of wine, red grape juice may be used as an alternative. Bitter wine, in remembrance of Christ’s blood, is symbolic and appropriate. A man with the priesthood will pray to the Father in the name of Christ saying:

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

The oneness of fellowships is a testimony to the world that Christ is the redeemer of all. Agency must be respected and preserved, allowing new fellowships the freedom to learn correct principles and govern themselves. Keep your eye single to the glory of God. Seek to receive God’s mind and will. Bear one another’s burdens that they may be light. Associate with one another as equals. God will gather his choice fruit.

More Law is Big-Badda-Bad! (2147 Words WAAAAY LONG!)

To make what I have said even clearer, I’ll direct your attention to Nephi. To Nephi, and to all prophets for that matter, they all sought to turn men’s attention to Christ, by teaching correct principles and letting them govern themselves. If principles were always the objective of true prophets, then More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Mom has expressed that I’m “off the reservation”when I quoted D&C 59:16-24, …using the blessings described of the earth, and applying it “willy-nilly” to the covenant of the words of Christ. Essentially, I am being accused of taking the scripture out of context. If it were in context, it would, according to Mom, be tied to only keeping the sabbath day holy. However, what she has missed is the reason for sabbath observance, fasting and prayer, …as it is tied to Zion, which is in the first verses of the chapter.

D&C 59:1-4

“1. Behold, blessed, saith the Lord, are they who have come up unto this land with an eye single to my glory, according to my commandments.

2. For those that live shall inherit the earth, and those that die shall rest from all their labors, and their works shall follow them; and they shall receive a crown in the mansions of my Father, which I have prepared for them.

3. Yea, blessed are they whose feet stand upon the land of Zion, who have obeyed my gospel; for they shall receive for their reward the good things of the earth, and it shall bring forth in its strength.

4. And they shall also be crowned with blessings from above, yea, and with commandments not a few, and with revelations in their time—they that are faithful and diligent before me.

5. Wherefore…

I ended that quote with “wherefore…” to make a point. The word “wherefore” is another way of saying, “for this reason…” or “as a result of which…” or “since this is the big picture, now let me tell you about how it is going to happen…” (obviously my interpretation. But it fits!). Once we have been introduced to the topic of Zion, that is where the two great commandments, sabbath, fasting, and prayer have value. Sabbath has value, but it’s value is Zion. Therefore, Mom is out of context, not me. Mom thought that sabbath worship was the driving principle, but I have shown that Zion is the driving principle, NOT sabbath worship. Sabbath observance ought to support the efforts toward Zion. Although, the way I used the scripture in my last blog emphasized the rewards of the earth, it was still in context, as I was pointing at the principles that produced the earth’s reward. So, there you go!

You see, the vision is given by principle, and then “the law” supports that principle, to produce the desired result. However, Mom would recommend that we ignore the guiding principle, that drives the law, …and mindlessly have laws not a few. My observation from my exchange with Mom is, she’d prefer more laws and only a few principles. That idea results in needing to be commanded in all things, as a slothful and not a wise servant.

Don’t be confused, thinking that commandments not a few, is the same as laws not a few. They are different. Consider the ten “commandments” that Moses gave. One of them was, Thou shalt not kill. If it was a law, then Nephi would have been breaking the law, and God would have been responsible for a contradiction. A contradiction is a lie, and as such, God would cease to be God. However, if commandment was viewed as a principle, rather than a law, God maintains status as having no contradiction. And that fits with the idea of being blessed with “commandments not a few.” More commandments are great, when we are not being commanded in all things, but More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Nephi supports the idea that principles are the driver, and NOT laws. He recommends that we talk of Christ, rejoice in Christ, preach of Christ, and prophesy of Christ. It is clear that Nephi isn’t recommending to do all of that, merely to boost Christ’s ego. I suggest that it has more to do with the “principles” of Christ, then it has to do with Christ Himself, …since every time you look in Christ’s direction, He points to His father. Our eyes ought to be single to the glory of God, and Christ exemplifies “THAT” in everything He teaches. Nephi continues to try to convince Mom, and all of us, that the law is only a means to get somewhere. And without the objective (the principle; Christ), the law is useless. Here’s what Nephi wrote:

2 Nephi 25:27-29

27. Wherefore, we speak concerning the law that our children may know the deadness of the law; and they, by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ, and know for what end the law was given. And after the law is fulfilled in Christ, that they need not harden their hearts against him when the law ought to be done away.

28. And now behold, my people, ye are a stiff-necked people; wherefore, I have spoken plainly unto you, that ye cannot misunderstand. And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you; for they are sufficient to teach any man the right way; for the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him ye also deny the prophets and the law.

29. And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in no wise be cast out.”

Interestingly enough, I NOW stand upon the principle of following no man but Christ, exactly as Nephi has taught, …and for that reason, both my wife and I were reprimanded, condemned as apostate, and cast-out by the LDS church. It will not be long before they take casting us out to the extreme of excommunication, sealing their own judgments upon their own heads. I recommend that they don’t do it, and let us be counted as inactive. But I don’t believe their PRIDE will allow it.

It seems clear that Nephi agrees with me, and does NOT agree with Mom, as he calls the law dead. Of course he agrees with me, because I got the idea from him, so technically I agree with him. Nephi recommends that some laws ought to be done away, and it will be the hardness of the hearts of men, against Christ, that stop men from letting laws be done away, because it doesn’t lead to Christ any longer.

To Nephi, and to all prophets for that matter, they all sought to turn men’s attention to Christ, by teaching correct principles and letting them govern themselves. John Taylor, the third President of the Church, once overheard a member of the Illinois legislature who was visiting Nauvoo speaking to the Prophet Joseph Smith. The man asked the Prophet Joseph how he was “enabled to govern so many people and to preserve such perfect order, remarking at the same time it was impossible for them to do it anywhere else.”“Mr. Smith remarked that it was very easy to do that. ‘How?’ responded the gentleman; ‘to us it is very difficult.’ Mr. Smith replied, ‘I teach them correct principles, and they govern themselves’” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith [2007], 284).

If principles were always the objective of true prophets, then More Law is Big-Badda-Bad! Notice, when the people are ripened for destruction, the laws have grown in complexity, the principles have been destroyed, and that requires a huge increase of lawyers and attorneys to filter through it all. In those days the lawyers and judges got rich off of the contention of the people, because the people forfeited their principles, to fair sumptuously on the law. Principles threatened the success of those who used the law to coerce, manipulate, and extort for personal gain. Today is no different. Our courts are jam packed. Lawyers fair sumptuously on contention. To get ahead in merchandise, the law is being extorted, and the only success requires that you dig a pit for your neighbor. And we say to ourselves, “There is no harm in that,” fulfilling Nephi’s prophecy in 2 Nephi 28. The law is getting more and more complex, as over 100,000 pages of new law is added every year. It is a clear indicator that principles are null and void in our day. And the pattern was the same among the Jews, who used the law to justify crucifying Christ.

Conclusion: Let’s not be those people, claiming to believe in Christ by word alone, when our actions tell on us. Our actions tell on us when we use the law to justify our sins. They tell on us when we prefer following a law above recognizing the voice of the Lord. They tell on us when we sing praises to men, claiming that we can find salvation by following a prophet, while rejecting a true messenger speaking the words of Christ. They tell on us when we defend a church, and it’s laws, while ignoring true principles.

If the principle is guiding you, then you’d prefer a conversation about the words of Christ, even if it puts you in question. The Truth ought to be our biggest concern, not our perceptions. The words of Christ ought to be reconsidered, to identify the truth, and NOT used merely to justify your salvation through a membership in a church, and an association with some general authority.

Your offense from my messages have nothing to do with the enormous quantity of my expressions of Christ, and my message of truth. All of your offense can be summed up in your defense of the church and it’s prophet, and your insecurity of your standing before the Lord. Just as you, I am far from perfect, and I have claimed nothing less. Just because I speak the truth doesn’t mean that I am free of mistakes. However, I can stand before God this day with a clear conscience, not because I claim to be better than you, but because I will consider the words of Christ, to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Everyone filters truth through their traditions of unbelief. I seek to have less and less unbelief, and that requires that I no longer align with LDS laws, causing me to be cast out from among them. And by your responses, although you would never physically cast me out (I think), …you dislike my association specifically because of my opinions of the LDS churches laws, that conflict with the words of Christ.

My testimony is based upon true and correct principles. I know this because I know the words of Christ, I constantly dig into scripture to get more, and will listen to anyone claiming to teach it. I will forfeit the law if it conflicts with my principles. But before I forfeit the law, I will question my principles, because that is where I must be right with God. Anyone who recommends to me “the law,” over true and correct principles, will never convince me to their way of thinking. More law is an indicator of empty principles. Again, More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

PS: In the near future, you will find conflict all around you, as your world will be governed by more and more law that conflict with your principles. And you deserve it, if you want to forfeit principle for “the law.” Dad’s work place is jammed packed full of them, being employed at “THE BYU!” (said in a deep, ominous voice). He isn’t the only one suffering those conditions, because it is an epidemic at all of the BYU’s.

As gay rights activists force laws upon everyone, requiring us not only to tolerate gay behavior, but to accept it, …our principles will conflict with accepting their behavior as normal. And within Mom’s work place, in the schools, she will soon be required to teach that to be gay is normal, and not offensive.

These issues are already at our door step, as our country has devalued our currency, made debt a necessity, bound our entire country in bondage, taken to wage war on others, whored our constitution, and perfectly prepared us for captivity. Like it or not, your principles are threatened by “the law.” I would not recommend you stand upon the law, when it ought to be done away, …otherwise you will be done away with the law you uphold. Correct principles is where it’s at. More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

The Law (1244 Words)

In response to Mom’s latest post, the law has value, when men are ignorant, but must be abandoned when they come unto Christ. She used the following scripture to argue against my last post that “the law” has value, and I would agree. But the bigger picture is ignored, that our responsibility was to come unto Christ, through His principles, which is His mind and will, …and then the law has little use for us. Here is the scripture she quoted:

D&C 58:20-22

“20. Let no man think he is ruler; but let God rule him that judgeth, according to the counsel of his own will, or, in other words, him that counseleth or sitteth upon the judgment seat.

21. Let no man break the laws of the land, for he that keepeth the laws of God hath NO NEED TO BREAK THE LAWS OF THE LAND.

22. Wherefore, be subject to the powers that be, UNTIL he reigns whose right it is to reign, and subdues all enemies under his feet.

In wickedness the law is the lowest form of governance, to maintain a form of peace and protection. The constitution of the united states, although inspired of God, was intended only to provide those on the promised land “righteousness.” And when righteousness abounds, the true ruler of all can lead the people into “more righteousness.” In righteousness, the law is meaningless, because living in righteousness proposes no threat to the laws of the land, but adds greater value “within” the law. When righteousness is in the hearts of the people of the promised land, the constitution is no longer useful, …and is dead, …and must be abandoned.  That is why the saying goes, “You can’t regulate an honest man.” An honest man regulates himself, and he doesn’t depend on the law of the land to reign himself in.

The early saints sought to establish Zion, but failed to do it because of jarrings, strifes contentions, malice, etc. They were unable to establish righteousness, and failed at their attempt to be one. They could not endure God’s chastening, to be sanctified by Him, to prove that they would not only accept the covenant, …but that they would also keep it (D&C 101:1-6). They fell apart because they could not live God’s PRINCIPLES. For this reason, the Lord “SUFFERED” the early saints to live the laws and constitution of the people, so that at least they were able to maintain the rights of their agency and all men were protected as to the flesh, according to “just” and “holy” PRINCIPLES.

D&C 101:76-79

“76. And again I say unto you, those who have been scattered by their enemies, it is my will that they should continue to importune for redress, and redemption, by the hands of those who are placed as rulers and are in authority over you—

77. According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have “suffered” to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles;

78. That every man may act in doctrine and principle pertaining to futurity, according to the moral agency which I have given unto him, that every man may be accountable for his own sins in the day of judgment.

79. Therefore, it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another.”

So, if you want to claim being governed by the laws of the land, or in other words the laws of men, …that is your choice! However, it is not the only choice available. There is a covenant, that if you accept and keep it, God gives you land for your inheritance. But it necessitates that you keep unspotted from the world, and remember His principles to understand His mind and will. Those who will do that, will inherit the earth, that she will offer up a multiplicity of abundance:

D&C 59:16-20

“16. Verily I say, that inasmuch as ye do this, the fulness of the earth is yours, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and that which climbeth upon the trees and walketh upon the earth;

17. Yea, and the herb, and the good things which come of the earth, whether for food or for raiment, or for houses, or for barns, or for orchards, or for gardens, or for vineyards;

18. Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart;

19. Yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to enliven the soul.

20. And it pleaseth God that he hath given all these things unto man; for unto this end were they made to be used, with judgment, not to excess, neither by extortion.”

If you want to claim the laws of the land, go right ahead. Don’t let me stand in your way. But, living by that law, and failing to understand the principles behind it, will cause your suffering. The constitution, at its origination, was founded upon righteous principles, and you could gain much by understanding and living those righteous principles. However, the constitution is currently “on-the-ropes” and “down-for-the-count,” and it’s principles are generating plagues, famines, and pestilences. So if that is what you want for your reward, I’ll leave you to it. However, if you would “consider” for a moment what I am offering, the covenant, and it’s promised blessings, you might want to consider a different approach. A PRINCIPLE APPROACH!

Conclusion: We must not break the laws of the land, but using the laws of the land as an excuse to not rise-up is a LAME excuse for not rising-up! Lucky for you, Christ healed the lame, so He can heal you too. The covenant will work, even within the laws of the land, as they are PRINCIPLE-CENTERED, and not merely circumstantial. The laws of the land cannot regulate PRINCIPLE. Man cannot control PRINCIPLE. The scriptures offer PRINCIPLE. They are applicable in all dispensations before this one, and can be applied in this one just the same. That is how God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, by principles.

Free yourself from your PRIDE by considering what I am saying. Put aside your traditions from the LDS church, or any other institution you have been subscribing to for years (banking, academic, government, social, etc). Putting those traditions aside for a short time, to consider another perspective, will not threaten your standing in those institutions. No one will know that you’ve considered it. It will be between you and God alone. I don’t even care if I didn’t know that you considered what I said. But, if you are HUMBLE, then you would consider any and all messages that claim to be of God. I claim this message to be of God.

The Holy Ghost will bring all things to your remembrance “IF” you have been taught of Christ. If not, you will have no remembrance. You must submit to God’s mind and will first. And by the power of the Holy Ghost you can know the truth of all things. But, when you ask, you are required to ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, acting no hypocrisy. You must follow the example of Joseph Smith, who asked to know the truth SO THAT HE COULD ACT UPON IT.

I recommend you do the same. Don’t be LAME!

Consideration- Response to Mom (816 Words)

Mom, I value your responses, as it has given me something to tack against, providing traction, …and that has produced progression in my thoughts. I believe that your recent response has stimulated revelation to me. So, I will use our recent exchange as the subject of this blog.

Mom: “I would like to see you make your point – ANY point without using the Mormon Church in it as the bad example or as a comparison or attacking its history. Leave the church alone and if it is YOUR thing, YOUR testimony, then own it as your own and not because the church this and because the church that. LEAVE THE CHURCH OUT OF THIS! If this is about Christ, then talk about Christ. If this is about the scriptures, then talk about the scriptures. It seems you cannot state anything unless you somehow turn to the church and criticize it or “prove” it wrong. Enough, already! Worship our Redeemer. Serve our Lord. Testify of Christ who is full of hope, light, and truth. Mom”

Me: “I recognize that you value the “Church” and would prefer that I leave it alone, and stop attacking it, so that I can share my perspective with you concerning light. I get that you are defensive towards the church because you have benefitted from it’s teachings, and that it has been the best tasting fruit on the market. You see the principles of tithing that you have lived and have been blessed from it. You have witnessed the whisperings of the spirit, and have a testimony of certain truths. And for that, you have established your footing upon the principles it teaches. But what you haven’t recognized is that you have established your foundation upon an institution, and NOT upon Christ.

You have assumed that the separation of the wheat from the tares would occur just as you have assumed. Christ has warned us that our ways are NOT his ways. This was to disassociate you from an institution, through a worthy test of separating wheat from tares, requiring nothing less than a witness of Christ to claim success. The institution will claim knowing a man as that success, but Christ requires “knowing HIM” alone as success. In other words, if you don’t know HIM, you have failed to be associated with the wheat, and are now grouped with the tares.

It’s a perfect test, if you’d consider it.

Considering, though, is very difficult, when you think you’re right. I have come to learn that fighting to be right, only produces contention, and necessarily rejects consideration. Faith is not threatened by consideration. So you ought not fear considering what I am saying. Fear, however, is threatened by consideration. Because consideration just might expose you to being wrong!

Despite the fact that you will profess being wrong on many occasions, you have established a position that “ON THIS OCCASION” you will die, before being wrong. And that attitude has always produced PRIDE, while consideration has ALWAYS produced humility! So, before you put words in my mouth, I’ll say it, “You suffer from a bad case of PRIDE, and because of it, you will not TRULY CONSIDER what I am saying.” That is the disease of the Gentiles, and you ought not associate yourself with them (unless they are the gentiles that are repentant. But that means that you would CONSIDER.)

Our family is very much at one, when it comes to the heart. We have screwed up many things, and Satan cannot seem to win at breaking us apart. We dislike many attributes of one another. We fight like savages at times. We have offended deeply. But, …you cannot tell me that we would not come together and work, and bear one another’s burdens, and suffer, …if any one of us needed help, was bearing a burden alone, or suffering. Waika’s death, the dramas upon us now, and all the skeletons in all of our closets are all tragic. But our bond of love, in this family, is stronger now than it has ever been. I would witness to anyone that our bond is stronger than the chords of death itself, and the powerful thing is, we all know it! What we lack, is the unity of mind! And that is because we will not consider, and are full of PRIDE.

It’s the truth, and you know it. Don’t fight it, take the chastening now while the waters of Shiloh are gentle. What is just around the corner will be difficult. It’s hard to quench your thirst, when you’re drowning. The very act of drinking, in the midst of drowning, will cause death. So drink freely from the living waters now, while the waters are gentle, instead of procrastinating your day of repentance until the floods are upon us.

See me as more than just “your boy.” Because I AM!”

Conclusion: PEACE!

How God Governs Oneness (919 Words)

One heart and one mind can only be accomplished by being founded upon a singular law. Without the same law throughout a body of people, it is impossible for their to be unity and oneness. When a true law of heaven is sustained, and a people submit to live by it, only then can they become of one heart and one mind. That is How God Governs Oneness.

The only way for there to be a people who are of one heart and one mind is for them to be governed by the same law. Joseph Smith gave a jump start to the LDS church, by translating new scriptures (BOM, POGP, and D&C), to clarify the older texts (BIBLE). He re-translated most of the Bible so that there might be a people who would be governed by the same law. However, before everything could be printed and compiled, Joseph and Hyrum were murdered, and the work was left incomplete. The church would have been sufficient if the saints aligned with Joseph Smith (while he was alive), but the saints suffered a condemnation for failing to take the records seriously, to be governed by that singular law. One heart and one mind can only be accomplished by being founded upon a singular law.

Without the same law governing the body of the people, it is impossible for there to be unity, and that is why the early saints failed to accomplish building Zion. After Joseph and Hyrum were killed, the 12 apostles took control of governing the saints. The saints, having been condemned for their ignorance had no foundation to argue against the hostile take-over, and were left to suffer the consequences of their ignorance. The leaders governing the saints were clueless about how things were to be operated, as they confessed that they never knew what Joseph was up to. The Nauvoo temple couldn’t be completed as Joseph never revealed what it would look like when it was complete. The replacement leaders excused their construction as complete and acceptable, even though the building burned, was destroyed in a storm, and not one stone was left atop another soon after the saints fled Nauvoo. Since Nauvoo, the records have continued to be manipulated (Polygamy-D&C 132), more has been falsely added in the name of Joseph Smith (D&C 110), and scriptures have been tossed altogether (Lectures on Faith). Today, the church requires the saints to profess following a prophet in order to qualify for an incomplete temple ordinance that they believe produces salvation, without the necessity to have it confirmed by the presence of Christ in the flesh. Those who maintain their membership in the LDS church can never be united in the oneness required to establish Zion. Not only are the records they claim to use, scrambled with the philosophies of the early apostles, departing from the instructions from God, few of the saints ever read the record to even be governed by it. Although it began in purity, it’s corrupted state is NOT How God Governs Oneness.

When there is a law, given from heaven, kept in its purity, that is sustained, and a people live by it, only then can they become of one heart and one mind. I have sought to live by the old modern LDS scriptures, and while it has given me great light and truth, it is still impossible to produce Zion.

I am in the process of reviewing what is called the “Restoration Scriptures,” to preview if it’s contents are satisfactory for me and my family to be governed by it. It’s contents reflect Joseph Smith’s original work, where the unauthorized additions and changes have been returned to it’s original state, or removed altogether. And the Bible is not the King James Version, but is instead the Joseph Smith translation. You can see the digital version at In 2 September 2017 a conference will be held in Boise, ID, where those attending will offer a sustaining vote to ratify that document as our unified law. When this is done, we will be the first and only group unified by a single law, contained in three volumes of scripture. And that is How God Governs Oneness.

Conclusion: If you don’t read the scriptures you already have, you will not find much interest in these scriptures. I find it funny how you have condemned my opinions about scriptures and the messages of the leadership of the church, when few of you even read the scriptures you have, or take the time to listen to talks given by the leaders at Ward, Stake, or General Conferences. Yet, you will defend those officers against my opinions, when I not only read and listen, but I have invested the time into studying them in depth.

I will conclude, not by inviting you to read what I am reading, but to invite you, as I have always done here, to read YOUR scriptures. I believe that if you take those seriously, you still have the opportunity to be soften by those words, sufficient to recognize the voice of the Lord, in the words of a true servant of God. Your salvation depends on your ability to have your head and brain clear and active, your eyes that see clearly to discern between truth and error, and ears that hear the voice of the Lord. By centering your life upon the words of Christ, you will learn How God Governs Oneness. Only then can our family truly have oneness, and be preserved in Zion.
