Love Christ! (896 Words)

I recognize that Christ is in all things, including the plants, the animals, and in each person. The act of loving Christ positions us near to Him in proximity. The power of godliness is to know Christ, and when we know Him, all things testify of Him.

Christ is the creator of the world. He is in all things, and gives life to all things.

D&C 88:6-13

6. He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth;

7. Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.

8. As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;

9. As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;

10. And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand.

11. And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;

12. Which light proceedeth forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space

13. The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.”

Christ is in the light of the sun, moon, stars. He is in the Earth and the very light that gives you life, enlightening you, and making your understanding “quickened,” or sanctified, or Holy. So that you are able to understand things, not only on Earth, but also into the world of glory, into the eternities. It is Christ’s light that is called the power of God.

The act of loving Christ positions us near to Him in proximity. The BOM message is to position yourself near Christ, such that every prophet’s account invites you to enter into Christ’s presence in the flesh, literally removing the distance between you and Him. The redemption of Christ was to return you to Christ’s presence.

Ether 3:13

13. And when he had said these words, behold, the Lord showed himself unto him, and said: Because thou knowest these things ye are redeemed from the fall; therefore ye are brought back into my presence; therefore I show myself unto you.

The power of godliness is to know Christ, and when we know Him, all things testify of Him.

Helaman 8:22-24

“22. Our father Lehi was driven out of Jerusalem because he testified of these things. Nephi also testified of these things, and also almost all of our fathers, even down to this time; yea, they have testified of the coming of Christ, and have looked forward, and have rejoiced in his day which is to come.

23. And behold, he is God, and he is with them, and he did manifest himself unto them, that they were redeemed by him; and they gave unto him glory, because of that which is to come.

24. And now, seeing ye know these things and cannot deny them except ye shall lie, therefore in this ye have sinned, for ye have rejected all these things, notwithstanding so many evidences which ye have received; yea, even ye have received all things, both things in heaven, and all things which are in the earth, as a witness that they are true.

To Love Christ is to know Christ!

Conclusion: The two great commandments come in a specified “ORDER.” Love God with all your heart, mind and soul is the first. Those who love God, know God. Just as to Love Christ is to know Christ!

When we know God and Christ, only then can we keep the second commandment to love our neighbor. Since Christ is in all things, and through all things, and is the light and life that animates all things, …the reason we love our neighbor only after we love God is because …we see God in them! Those who haven’t loved God first, will find it difficult to see God in their neighbor, because they never knew God.

Satan rejects God. The destruction of the wicked killing the wicked is because the wicked have rejected God too. Accusations fly rampant, contention thrives, and the hearts of men run cold, because they have wandered in the dark, rejecting the light of this world. Rejecting Christ.

This shall all men know, ye are Christ’s disciples, if you have love, one to another. You can love others because you have first loved Christ. You can love Christ because He first loved you.

John 4:18-21

“18. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19. We love him, because he first loved us.

20. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21. And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

The Poor Among You (811 Words)

Considering the different degrees of glory, and the accumulation of knowledge, practice, and mastery, …theres something more to say about The Poor Among You. Perhaps The Poor Among You is defined based on the degree of glory you have acquired. All of God’s knowledge is accumulative and complimentary, but not destructive or contradictory. Consider my point.

If there is knowledge, practice, and mastery in the telestial, terrestrial, and celestial, …then the absence of knowledge would describe The Poor Among You. Yes, …that’s right, …”ignorance” is poverty. The Priesthood was given to reverse the effects of “ignorance,” by increasing “light.”

“Although there are two priesthoods, yet the Melchizedek Priesthood comprehends the Aaronic or Levitical Priesthood and is the grand head, and holds the highest authority which pertains to the Priesthood- the keys of the Kingdom of God in all ages of the world to the latest posterity on the earth- and is the channel through which all knowledge, doctrine, the plan of salvation and every important truth is revealed from heaven.” (Joseph Smith dictated to his scribe R.B. Thompson, RE Section 48, pg. 130).

Joseph Smith taught that you can be saved no faster than you gain knowledge, and if a man gain more intelligence than another, it will be to his advantage in the life to come (D&C 130:18-19), …then our first step is clearly to acquire knowledge! So, …if we read between the lines, …if “knowledge” comes through priesthood, …then, there is a priesthood in each degree of glory. Priesthood was intended to elevate one another, to eliminate poverty, so that there are no poor among you. If you consider priesthood an association, then in the telestial, it is an association with producers, who like to work, like among our family, and the project we have been working on for almost a year now. In the terrestrial, it is an association with ministering angels (D&C 84:26-27), who bring further light and knowledge from the presence of the Lord. And in the celestial, it is an association with the mysteries of God, in the presence of Christ and God the Father, in the flesh (D&C 84:19-22).

Since all of God’s knowledge is accumulative and complimentary, but not destructive or contradictory, as we increase in glory, we are added upon, and added upon, until we are filled with light. Those who seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness are promised that all these things- clothes, food, and shelter- will be added unto you (3 Nephi 13:33). We are also taught that if your eye be single to the glory of God, your whole body will be filled with light (3 Nephi 13:22). If you harden your heart, you’ll be given a lesser portion of the word, until you know nothing of the mysteries of God, but if you soften your heart, you’ll receive the mysteries of God, until you know them in full (Alma 12:10-11). It’s all additive and complementary.

When the philosophies of men get mingled with scripture, the truth of the laws get eroded, corrupted, and withers away. For instance, telestial law naturally generates: producers, industrious people, that are anxiously engaged in a good cause. Their efforts lessen the burdens of life in the world, providing: better transportation, communication, building materials, etc. And people will pay the price tag, if it is mutually beneficial to them. Naturally, the byproduct is “financial rewards.” And financial gain equals “free time” to pursue a higher law, to study the words of Christ, and acquire a terrestrial law and glory. …However, crooks, thieves, and bullies, rob, steal, and force people to pay them, producing the same counterfeit financial result. Their purpose is to hoard, not considering the higher laws or glories. They prefer winning in the telestial over eternal progression. They sacrifice the power of creating worlds without number, for worldly aspirations and the glory of men. In ignorance they have sacrificed the greater for the lesser law and glory. When philosophies of men are mingled with scripture, men are fooled into selling their birthright of godliness, for a mess of pottage.

The work needing to be done with The Poor Among Us is very real. It begins with the correct knowledge, continues in a path unique to each of us, and progresses to higher laws and glories. That is our work and our glory.

Conclusion: The Poor Among Us must awake and arise to the awful situation by which we are held captive. The bondage we are all in (debt and sin) requires our combined effort to escape. We cannot skip steps, working in the terrestrial when we have failed to unite in the telestial. I consider us lucky that our parents have written upon our hearts the value of work. Lets finish this project as one, freeing up some time, to invest in the knowledge of a higher law and glory, by the study and discussions upon the words of Christ.

Anchoring Words! (783 Words)

Words shift meaning. Using a static dictionary to read scripture can become very confusing. The words of the fathers act as an Anchor to the children.

Words, when they are not Anchored, shift meaning. The same word can mean significantly different things, depending on when, where, how, and to whom it was said. The world takes advantage of this fact, making good evil and evil good, as they control the lexicon of words. Propaganda uses newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and the internet to push false definitions, controlling words. “No Child Left Behind” has more to do with government regulatory control than it has to do with children being left behind. “Health Care” has more to do with tax revenues than it has to do with caring about a persons health. Words that aren’t Anchored, shift with the wind.

Context refers to the circumstances that words are used. A dictionary is general & limited, and it’s definitions doesn’t fit all contexts, especially scriptural. Even when words and their meanings are published in a dictionary, …it doesn’t take into account how the word is being used in scripture. Thus, all who read scripture must ponder, for context. When you understand the word and it’s intended context, only then can you unlock the definition of the words the prophet carefully selects.

The Church uses their power to govern how scriptures ought to be understood. They use a propaganda approach of magazines, videos, manuals, and websites, to shift the meaning of words, to fit their agenda. Individuals no longer need the mind and will of God, because “a man of office” handles that stuff. He will tell us what we need to know. The language is confounded in The Church, indicating a state of apostasy. Context is what prophets of old depended on to Anchor Words! In The Church today, context will get you cast-out!

The words of the fathers act as an Anchor to the children. Knowing context is how children’s hearts are turned to the fathers. Every dispensation began upon the exact same “principles.” How principles were applied depended upon their “circumstances.” While circumstances change, the principles have never changed! All who would be “ONE” must unite upon the same principles as those belonging to the Father’s. Circumstances will almost always differ, but principles are always the same. If our scripture study is Anchored in the context of the prophets, the words will be written in our hearts, and then we can be one.

Conclusion: People play “word games,” shifting circumstances to fit their agenda. When Words are Anchored, suddenly “word games” are over, and the truth is triumphant. I have been accused of playing “word games,” but my accusers refuse to discuss the scriptures, …which is where my words are Anchored! They accuse me of changing circumstances to fit my agenda, when in reality their refusal to go to the scriptures tells on them, because going to the scriptures threatens their agenda. I have no agenda, but to do the will of God.

If you don’t want to see, you’ll close your eyes. If you don’t want to hear, you’ll close your ears, and will not consider. Your actions condemn you, but I am accused as being the condemner, when I have no control over how YOU respond. I offer no condemnation. I offer further light and truth, as my Words are Anchored in scripture.

Lehi ascended into heaven, and was Anchored in the Book of Life (1 Nephi 1:11). It was unlawful for Lehi to teach its contents, so he sent Nephi to retrieve the records from Laban. Nephi used the record of Laban as a Liahona, leading him beyond the veil, into a far better land of promise, while his brothers didn’t. We are promised we can do the same (Alma 37:45). Lehi wouldn’t write about it, and Nephi uses Isaiah to try expressing it’s higher knowledge. Moroni had the Book of Life, but left the lesser record, to try our faith, …and promised the greater record if we proved true and faithful to the lesser (3 Nephi 26:9-11). John the Beloved spoke of two records (Revelations 20:12), the Book of Works (Earth), and the Book of Life (Heaven). A prophet who writes scripture is first Anchored in the Book of Life. The lesser record points to the greater record. Reject the lesser, and you are unqualified for the greater. Take hold of the lesser, and your name is promised to be written in the Book of Life.

Your refusal to use scripture as your Anchoring Words not only disqualifies you from becoming ONE, it also disqualifies you from obtaining the greater, which is described as the fulness, or the mysteries of God in full (Alma 12:10).

CHOICES! WORD!

The New Name: DAVID!!!!!!!!

The following is a direct quote:

THE NEW NAME DAVID
Revelation given to Denver Snuffer, Jr, 10 September, 2011.

On the 10 th day of September, 2011 the word of the Lord said to me, You shall no longer be called Denver, but your name shall be called David. I was startled to hear this, and it troubled me. I regarded David as an adulterer and a murderer, who killed Uriah to hide his adultery. In response to Nathan’s parable of the rich man who took the poor man’s lamb in 2 Samuel, Chapter 12, David condemned himself to die for his sin. If David considered himself worthy to die, then should I not also condemn David? The more I reflected on this, the more troubled I became. I asked God to give to me another name, not the unwanted David.

For a day and a half my distress grew, and I prayed repeatedly to have the name changed. I feared it memorialized and perhaps also foreshadowed failure and rebellion. I did not want to have the Lord view me as either rebellious or a failure. I thought the name was detestable, the name of a bloody man who was unfit to build the Lord’s house, whose family was torn apart by infighting. After a day and a half of prayer asking to change the name, the Lord answered in a perfectly mild voice saying, I thought it no great insult to be called the Son of David.

His gentle response cut my heart and made me ashamed. I learned David means: Beloved of God. This made me all the more embarrassed at how meanly I had reacted and spoken to the Lord about His gift to me. Instead of thinking it an unworthy name, I concluded I was unworthy of His gift. I asked Him to forgive me and He frankly did so. I am an ignorant and prideful man.

I expected to keep this private, and after doing so for six years, I have been commanded to make this known.

Conclusion: Denver Snuffer has declared in this statement that he was given a new name by Christ, and that name is David. The Davidic servant has made himself known. Can you here the voice of the Lord enough to divine an answer confirming or denying this claim, sufficient to stake your salvation your discernment?

I will be speaking at the Doctrine of Christ conference with this David, today, 18 March 2017. My wife and I will speak as the opening speakers at 1PM, at the Dixie State Cox Auditorium. I invite all reading here to come and hear the voice of the Davidic Servant, a true servant of God, who instructs all who are willing to see and hear, how to return to the presence of the Lord. Even if it is simply to decide for yourself, with your own ears if it is true.

A Sacrifice is Still Required (1666 Words)

Although the law of Moses was fulfilled by Christ, A Sacrifice is Still Required. Substitutes were provided when needed, …but A Sacrifice is Still Required. All sacrifices, if they are to be accepted, must reflect the sacrifice of the Only Begotten Son.

It was only during the time of Moses that there ever was a distinction between a higher law and a lesser law, because that was when the children of Israel rejected entering into the presence of the Lord upon Mount Sinai. Prior to Moses, it was all one law, the Patriarchal Order. We call the law of Moses the lesser law, and claim that blood sacrifice will never be required again. However, Adam was the first patriarch, and when the earth receives it’s paradisiacal order all must return to it’s original order, “all as at first.” Adam offered up blood sacrifices, so did Abel, so did Enoch, Noah and Abraham. This points to the fact that A Sacrifice is Still Required. Joseph Smith explains it this way:

“The offering of sacrifice has ever been connected and forms a part of the duties of the Priesthood. It began with the Priesthood, and will be continued until after the coming of Christ [I suspect Joseph Smith is referring to the second coming of Christ, as he is speaking in future tense here], from generation to generation. We frequently have mention made of the offering of sacrifice by the servants of the Most Hight in ancient days, prior to the law of Moses; which ordinances will be continued when the Priesthood is restored with all its authority, power and blessings.” (TPJS pg. 172- Oct 5, 1840)

In 1840 the Priesthood hadn’t been restored with all its authority, power and blessings, and Joseph Smith said that restoration was considered to happen at a later date. He also stated that sacrificial offering has always been a part of the duties of the priesthood, from generation to generation. And that it would continue to be practiced, when the fullness of the Priesthood is restored with all it’s authority, power and blessings (The Patriarchal Order).

Abraham was required to offer up Isaac as a blood sacrifice, in similitude of the only Begotten Son. Abraham = the Father. And Isaac = the Son. However, before Abraham plunges the knife, an arrested sacrifice is provided in the thicket, and becomes the substitute for Isaac. The arrested sacrifice is a substitute sacrifice. The Ultimate arrested sacrifice was Christ. His life was offered on our behalf. Because of Him, we can claim God, as the price was paid by Christ. Christ suffered that man would not suffer, which suffering caused the greatest of all to shrink and cower. However, although Christ was the substitute arrested sacrifice, A Sacrifice is Still Required.

Any sacrifice, if they are to be accepted by God, must reflect the sacrifice of the Only Begotten Son. It must be selfless. It must be for the welfare of those you bear as your backload into the heavens. It may require the shedding of your blood. It will probably cause great pain, grief and sorrow to you, on their behalf. It will cost you both time, money and your good name. It must provide love and peace to those who you are sacrificing for. It must be asked of you by the Father. If you are the greatest among you, you must become the least, lifting all others through your sacrifice. Your Sacrifice is Still Required.

Conclusion: I am not talking from experience here, as I have not made that kind of selfless sacrifice before. I am just learning that if anyone will be saved, they must be precisely what Christ is, or else not be saved (Lectures on Faith). It would be foolish for us to expect to be without sin, to atone, to have the fulness of the Spirit of God without measure, as Christ had in this life. And that is not what is being proposed here. However, I am saying that Christ did not become who He was in this life, or in the life just prior to this life. John the Beloved explains that at first Christ wasn’t the Son of God, but after growing from grace to grace, and grace for grace, then he became the son of God (D&C 93:12-18).

Your Sacrifice is Still Required, because it is only through your sacrifice that you grow from grace to grace, in this life. That’s how you gain intelligence. It is THAT intelligence that rises with you in the resurrection, that becomes your advantage in the world to come:

D&C 130:18-19

“18. Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.

19. And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his “diligence and obedience” than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.”

This scripture points to multiple probations (pre-existence, this life, resurrection, and the world to come). Eternity to eternity, life after life, we must practice the attribute of sacrifice, and that is described as growing grace for grace, moving-on from one eternity to another. The path that Christ goes ahead to prepare is the very same path He walked. He continues to go ahead and prepare places (worlds), for your progression, until YOU are able to perform an atonement for others, just as Christ has:

John 14:1-4

“1. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2. In my Father’s house are many mansions [temporary stopping-over places, or multiple life probations]: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [Christ is promising to be your personal tour guide, to walk you through the worlds to come]

4. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”

Thomas Didymus complained to Christ saying that they didn’t know the way. But Christ was telling them all that He, Christ, was the way, and that they know Him. Knowing Christ was and is always the way, world upon world, eternity to eternity.

Line upon line, precept upon precept is how you progress, a little at a time, when you are in the service of your fellow being in sacrifice, …until you are filled with light, …until you know the mysteries of God in full, …until you have ascended through the path that Christ has walked, and you become one with Christ, and with the Father.

It all starts with a little sacrifice, that reflects Christ. And over time, it ought to grow into larger sacrifices, as you further understand the Savior more intimately. Eventually, when you are prepared to do so, you will be required to offer precisely the same thing as Christ did, the sacrifice of all things. Now consider Joseph Smith’s comment about a religion that doesn’t require the sacrifice of all things:

Lectures on Faith- Lecture Sixth: 7-8

“7. Let us here observe, that a religion that does not require the sacrifice of all things never has power sufficient to produce the faith necessary unto life and salvation; for, from the first existence of man, the faith necessary unto the enjoyment of life and salvation never could be obtained without the sacrifice of all earthly things. It was through this sacrifice, and this only, that God has ordained that men should enjoy eternal life; and it is through the medium of sacrifice, and this only, that God has ordained that men should enjoy eternal life; and it is through the medium of the sacrifice of all earthly things that men do actually know that they are doing the things that are well pleasing in the sight of God. When a man has offered in sacrifice all that he has for the truth’s sake, not even withholding his life, and believing before God that he has been called to make this sacrifice because he seeks to do his will, he does know, most assuredly, that God does and will accept his sacrifice and offering, and that he has not, nor will not seek his face in vain. Under these circumstances, then, he can obtain the faith necessary for him to lay hold on eternal life.

8. It is vain for persons to fancy to themselves that they are heirs with those, or can be heirs with them, who have offered their all in sacrifice, and by this means obtained faith in God and favor with him so as to obtain eternal life, unless they, in like manner, offer unto him the same sacrifice, and through that offering obtain the knowledge that they are accepted of him.”

The medium of sacrifice is the only way by which God ordains man into eternal life. When a man sacrifices all things in exchange for truth’s sake, not even withholding his life, doing God’s will, God will accept his sacrifice and offering. God know’s that this man doesn’t seek the presence of Christ in the flesh “in vain.” Many talk like they want the presence of the Lord, but aren’t willing to make the necessary sacrifices. So they seek the face of the Lord in vain, it’ll never happen, and they cannot lay hold on eternal life.

It is vain and foolish imaginations for any of us to consider ourselves heirs with those who have offered their all in sacrifice. If we are to be equal heirs, we must, in like manner, offer the same sacrifice. It is only through that same sacrifice that you may obtain the same knowledge (Sacrifice produces knowledge). Christ claims to be more intelligent than them all. He seeks to grow, increase, and add upon you- more intelligences. If we are to walk the path of Christ, we must grow from grace to grace, and grace for grace, as He did. And for that, A Sacrifice is Still Required.

An Everlasting Work (1595 Words Long and Hard)

This blog was intended for conversation, so let’s talk story. Every comment I write on this blog, although against the popular opinions of the family (particularly Mom), is focused NOT on the dark of the Church, but on the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My work is towards my family, first and foremost.

Let’s Talk Story: Whenever I choose to respond, it is not to put you down, to compare my greatness to your insignificance, or to make me above you, …although that is what I am constantly accused of. I see opportunity to provide customized application to the words of Christ, befitting our family. That is why I constantly quote scriptures, within proper context, and further expound them, explaining them in plainness, hoping that your hearts will soften to recognize the pure intelligence that accompany them. Talking story allows us to reason with one another. And if that means butting heads a little with the hardest of heads (Mom), I’m willing to do that, within reason. The scriptures are a source of light from the treasury of heaven. Whenever light is introduced, darkness is dispelled. Those with hard hearts, who will not receive the light, are always dispelled along with the darkness, because the darkness comprehends it NOT.

The Work: The real work is obtaining light, while gradually separating from the dark. It is necessary for everyone to separate themselves from the dark, to avoid being cast-off because of our failure to comprehend the light. However, in the loooooong absence of light (173 Years since Joseph & Hyrum died), men become accustomed to working in the dark, until things of darkness become acceptable, then comfortable, and then embraced. Even the pure in heart (which I know you are) are startled when pure light is introduced. Having been conditioned so long to the dark, requires constant and diligent effort to first: accumulate and cleave unto greater light (Words of Christ), and second: simultaneously peal-off traditions of darkness (Repent). You cannot repent without first knowing the words of Christ. Otherwise, how will you know what to repent of? Jacob refers to pealing off the darkness, in the allegory of the olive tree, as the offensive pruning of unproductive branches. Every comment I write on this blog, although against the popular opinions of the family (particularly Mom), is focused NOT on the dark of the Mormon Church, but on the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. But, long traditions of dark have been deeply rooted, requiring a greater effort of offensive pruning on my part. And I am not afraid of the hard work required to do it. YOU ARE MY OBJECTIVE!

Mom has pretty much instructed me, in her last comment, to go and do my work, and leave us alone. YOU ARE MY WORK! My work is towards my family, first and foremost. She has accused me of pecking at the same old arguments (primary songs, etc.), and the same old year-old mistake, attributing my efforts as simply resentful and hostile, and as a result of an individual abusive circumstance, …and I am painting my negative opinions over the whole of the innocent leaders of this great church. She, knowing the circumstances of her son being cast out, now labels me as rejecting them, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, when it is THEY who have cast me, her son, out. When will you stop defending your darkness, study the scriptures generating everlasting light, and shape up? Moroni asked:

Mormon 9:31-39

“31. Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be great pollutions upon the face of the earth; there shall be murders, and robbing, and lying, and deceivings, and whoredoms, and all manner of abominations; when there shall be many who will say, Do this, or do that, and it mattereth not, for the Lord will uphold such at the last day. But wo unto such, for they are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity.

32. Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be churches built up that shall say: Come unto me, and for your money you shall be forgiven of your sins. {requiring a specified amount of tithing, to obtain a temple recommend, fits this category}

33. O ye wicked and perverse and stiffnecked people, why have ye built up churches unto yourselves to get gain? Why have ye transfigured the holy word of God, that ye might bring damnation upon your souls? Behold, look ye unto the revelations of God; for behold, the time cometh at that day when all these things must be fulfilled.

34. Behold, the Lord hath shown unto me great and marvelous things concerning that which must shortly come, at that day when these things shall come forth among you.

35. Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing.”

Mormon gave the plates to Moroni, and it is Moroni speaking to you. The next person to read Moroni’s words was Joseph Smith. He is speaking to US. He speaks as if you are present. Take what he says next very personally. He has seen you and what you are now faced with. He offers you light, so that you can shake off the chains of darkness that bind you. Channel into your pure hearts, and hear the voice of the Lord in what Moroni writes next:

“36. And I know that ye do walk in the pride of your hearts; and there are none save a few only who do not lift themselves up in the pride of their hearts, unto the wearing of very fine apparel, unto envying, and strifes, and malice, and persecutions, and all manner of iniquities; and your churches, yea, even every one, have become polluted because of the pride of your hearts.

37. For behold, ye do love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel, and the adorning of your churches, more than ye love the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted.”

Moroni saw our day and said that “every church” has become polluted. That’s a high percentage of churches, …EVERY! You don’t even need to know Greek or Latin to see it. It’s plain! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints aren’t excluded. They love money and substances. Come between the church and their money and you have painted a target on your back. You should know this is true better than most, as you have experienced first hand the abuse at BYU-Hawaii and PCC, and their frivolous firing of productive employees, while they protect themselves from law suits, keeping unproductive employees in good standing. Our temples are opulent. And when I attempt to help the poor among me, my temple recommend was revoked? The buildings of the institution are very well adorned, and the church loves their buildings more than they love the poor and needy, the sick and afflicted, that Mom substitute teaches for, so she can help her sick daughter raise her children, without sufficient assistance. Yet, she will defend their actions, ignoring the words of Christ being offered to her by me, her son.

Conclusion: You are free to choose, but I will call it out as I see it, so that your choice is sealed upon you, and you cannot point the finger anywhere else but to yourselves. A little while longer and you will not have to be discomforted by my words:

1 Nephi 14:7

“7. For the time cometh, saith the Lamb of God, that I will work a great and a marvelous work among the children of men; a work which shall be everlasting, either on the one hand or on the other—either to the convincing of them unto peace and life eternal, or unto the deliverance of them to the hardness of their hearts and the blindness of their minds unto their being brought down into captivity, and also into destruction, both temporally and spiritually, according to the captivity of the devil, of which I have spoken.

I am engaged in An Everlasting Work! I am coming for YOU! Although the work is everlasting, don’t confuse everlasting work to be generally positive, uplifting, building, warm, and feel-good. It all depends on how you respond to the words of Christ being offered. Either you will be convinced unto peace and life eternal, by seeking diligently the words of Christ …OR you will harden your hearts to what I have written, by continuing to treat lightly the words of Christ being addressed hear. In the hardness of your hearts, your minds will be blinded, and you will not see what I have been pointing to for ten years. Your ties to this world, through the institutions you cling to, religious, educational, and financial, will seal your fate in captivity and destruction, both temporally and spiritually, just as Moroni has spoken.

I would prefer a different kind of conversation, based on scriptures, and not defending and offending. But conversations like that are rare in our case, so I’ll take what I can get, even though it requires being exposed to some offensive pruning. Considering the difficulty that the missionaries had, converting Mom to Mormonism from Catholicism, why should it be easy for me to persuade her to actually read the scriptures and have an intelligent conversation, based solely on doctrine? If that work costs me my family, my relationships, and my life, I am not afraid of that work, because it is Christ’s.

Awake and Arise!

Hope and Faith in Christ (1167 Words Long)

The things of Christ ought to promote hope and faith through a personal relationship with Christ. The chains of hell bind men in ignorance, producing fear. The ability to hearken to the voice of the Lord will progress anyone to be able to sacrifice all things, to seek His presence, and be redeemed.

The things of Christ ought to promote hope and faith through a personal relationship with Christ. The hope that Christ offers comes through His atonement. Alma taught that Christ took upon Himself death, to free men from death. He took upon Himself infirmities, so that He is filled with mercy, to know how to succor (assist in times of hardship/difficulties) us in our infirmities. He suffered the sins of the people, to remove transgressions by the power of His deliverance (Alma 7:11-14). Only Christ has partaken of death, infirmities, and the sins of all. In Gethsemane Christ atoned, asking the Father to “…remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.” And He finished the task successfully. It is He in whom all hope resides, and no man can offer any such hope, …unless he points only to Christ.

The chains of hell bind men in ignorance, producing fear. Alma teaches that it is due to ignorance that men are led, and chained down to hell.

Alma 12:10-11

“10 And therefore, he that will harden his heart, the same receiveth the lesser portion of the word; and he that will not harden his heart, to him is given the greater portion of the word, until it is given unto him to know the mysteries of God until he know them in full.

11. And they that will harden their hearts, to them is given the lesser portion of the word until they know nothing concerning his mysteries; [this is the peak of ignorance] and then they are taken captive by the devil, and led by his will down to destruction. Now this is what is meant by the chains of hell.”

Ignorance of God’s mysteries results in being taken captive and destroyed. The ignorant will remain devoted to false traditions, blind leaders, and guides who lie to them about their actual condition of darkness. In their ignorance they will fear a man of God, presenting the truth. The truth is threatening because it exposes their darkness to light.

D&C 93:24-25

“24. And truth is knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come;

25. And whatsoever is more or less than this is the spirit of that wicked one who was a liar from the beginning.”

The truth of the churches dealings in the past with the Hawaiians, Native Americans, and Latin Americans have gone hidden from church history. The disobedience of the saints in Nauvoo has been excused and taught as a success in the Salt Lake effort. The frozen pioneers have been depicted as faithful, when their suffering was caused by their procrastination. The use of the tithes are hidden and spent on opulent buildings, businesses, and real estate holdings (often times in waste), while the poor are left to suffer. However, truth remains foundational to God’s plan of repentance and obtaining His mysteries in full. Without the truth it is impossible to repent! In order for Satan to take people captive, all that is required is for people to be content with their ignorance.

The ability to hearken to the voice of the Lord will progress anyone to be able to sacrifice all things, to seek His presence, and be redeemed. Hearken does not mean blind obedience. It’s a compound word that means: to hear and to know, abolishing ignorance with light and knowledge. Light and knowledge brings you to truth, which produces repentance. Ignorance cannot produce truth, and will never translate into repentance. When you are informed of light and truth, and repent, it is because of what you know, that you become willing to sacrifice all things.

“Let us here observe, that a religion that does not require the sacrifice of all things never has power sufficient to produce the faith necessary unto life and salvation; for, from the first existence of man, the faith necessary unto the enjoyment of life and salvation never could be obtained without the sacrifice of all earthly things. It was through this sacrifice, and this only, that God has ordained that men should enjoy eternal life; and it is through the medium of the sacrifice of all earthly things that men do actually know that they are doing the things that are well pleasing in the sight of God. Under these circumstances, then, he can obtain the faith necessary for him to lay hold on eternal life.”

(Lectures on Faith 6:7)

The plan of salvation is that we become as God is. Those who hear the voice of the Lord, are His sheep, and will be gathered by their receiving the words of Christ. It will provide truth and knowledge sufficient for repentance, and result in the presence of Christ in the flesh.

Conclusion: Hope and faith in Christ is mistaken for just being nice all the time, ignoring what’s broken, and blindly only seeing the remaining good. The remaining good diminishes, until all that’s left is corruption. Christ did not live a life of niceties, especially when facing the false traditions of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Instead, He used boldness. Rather than ignoring what was broken, He addressed it, telling those He healed to “…go and sin no more.” He called men to repentance, rather than turning a blind eye to the reality of darkness. 2 Nephi 28 addresses this false syndrome of niceties as being at ease in Zion, saying, “…All is well.”

Hope and Faith in Christ is not passive, but is actively engaged in truth and knowledge, repentance, hearing His voice, and acting in obedience to Christ (no matter what sacrifice is required of you). This process will increase knowledge, until you know all the mysteries of God in full. Thus, you will have broken the chains of hell, because ignorance will be destroyed in you, making you filled with light. You will become a chosen vessel. That is the hope and faith that Christ offers in His atonement.

Christ has overcome death, to free you from death. He took upon Himself your infirmities, so that He is filled with mercy, to know how to succor you in your infirmities. He suffered your sins, to remove your transgressions by the power of His deliverance. If you are to come to Him, it will require exercise. Don’t leave this work undone.
