Faith is Required (1333 Words)

From the time of Adam, until now, the same Faith is Required. In the story of Lehi’s family, we learn that every person will follow one of two patterns of faith. What pattern will you choose to follow?

From Adam until now, the test is the same, and passing the test requires the same faith, …even great faith. As God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, …faith grows exactly the same then, as it does now, and as it will in the future. The reason scriptures matter so much is because the faith required of ancient saints is precisely the same faith required of modern saints. The pattern of Nephi’s faith is not restricted to church leaders. It is a pattern meant for each individual who has eyes that see, and ears that hear, male or female, from the least to the greatest, to apply. We know the story, but consider the summary anyway.

In the story of Lehi’s family, we learn that every person will follow one of two patterns of faith. Either you can choose to grow your faith as Nephi did, until you enter into the presence of the Lord in the flesh, …or you can ignore the words of Christ, and follow the pattern of Laman and Lemuel’s faith. The scriptures are funny in that you exercise faith by studying it, or you reject the Book of Mormon by giving heed to it. Likewise with a covenant, those who receive it must say and do it. But those who reject the covenant only need pay it no attention. Consider the two options in the lives of brothers.

Nephi is a good person, like all of you. His father, Lehi, was cast out of the Jewish church (the apostate Mormons of their day), being threatened to be stoned to death. It took a certain degree of faith for Nephi to retrieve the plates from the leader of the church (Laban), with the threat of possibly loosing his life, looming overhead. The faith necessary for Nephi to acquire the plates had to exceed the faith of his three older brothers, waiting outside the city walls.

You gotta wonder what’s going through their minds, as they are left all alone in the wilderness, dad being excommunicated, Nephi cutting off the head of Laban, and literally stealing the plates. By common law, Nephi’s hands should be cut off for stealing, and he should be killed for murdering, and tortured for murdering a church leader, to boot. Lehi is also guilty of the same crimes because he was the one behind all of it. Laman and Lemuel wouldn’t go to the same extreme to retrieve the plates, having insufficient faith. But, they logically and rationally battled within themselves, trying to decide if they shouldn’t be the ones to execute the law of the land, by killing their father and younger brother. Their false traditions of unbelief, established by the Jewish church, were so deeply engrained, that they would die for it. Or in this case, Laman and Lemuel wouldn’t kill their church leaders, but they would kill their brother and father, to defend their false traditions of unbelief.

When Lehi told his family of his dream, Nephi’s faith went through another growth spurt, as we find Nephi struggling at the base of the mountain, pondering and wanting to know what his father was trying to tell them in his dream. Nephi knew that he believed all the words of his father, despite Lehi being badly rejected of the commonly acceptable church, …but to Nephi, knowing his dad knew it wasn’t enough! He sought to know for himself, and because of that, an angle did visit him. It was an angel of the highest degree. It was “The Great Angel,” even Jesus Christ. The tile “Lord Sabaoth” literally means Lord of the hosts of heaven, …anciently: “The Great Angel.”

Laman and Lemuel, although they went into the wilderness with Lehi, failed to lay hold upon the words of Christ for themselves. Their faith failed them when retrieving the plates. Their faith failed them as they sought to kill their father and brother. Their faith failed them in hunger. Their faith failed them crossing the ocean. And their faith failed them when they separated their families, passing on their ignorance many generations after them. They wouldn’t read for themselves, using the excuse that God makes no such thing known to them. They rejected the words of Christ, not by doing something to the records, …but by simply not reading them, not seeking diligently to understand them. Because they rejected the words of Christ, they found legitimate reason to rebel against a servant of Christ in their family members, …in their father and in their little brother. You would think that because they were family, they would have had an advantage because they knew the hearts of their father and brother. But being related to the prophet served as no advantage because of their lack of faith. Having rejected the words of Christ, and the servant of Christ was sufficient to communicate to God and His witnesses that they also rejected Christ Himself.

The faith of Nephi is a pattern available to all of us, if we have eyes to see, and ears to hear. We understand the physical odds facing Nephi when he retrieved the plates. We too must face physical odds as did Nephi. However, the growth of Nephi’s faith to believe in and acquire his personal witness of Christ was far greater than the physical odds of retrieving the plates. After Nephi had a personal witness of Christ, Nephi is able to endure far greater trials, doing precisely what is asked of him by the Lord, even when his father’s faith failed him with hunger, his brothers tie him to the mast of the ship, and eventually try to kill him, his wife, and his children. Nephi’s faith wasn’t dependent on any man, not his father, and not a prophet, …because he knew Christ for himself.

There are two patterns that everyone on earth must choose: accept or reject the words of Christ. To reject, nothing is required of you. God assumes rejection by the absence of acceptance. There are two doctrines being pitched in this world. Their are two ways. There are two masters. In the story of Lehi’s family, there are two patterns of faith expressed. Which pattern are you going to follow?

Conclusion: From the time of Adam, until now, the same Faith is Required. No one can take your place on the judgement seat, but Christ. Only He has atoned for you. He will redeem you from the fall if you do not reject Him. Doing nothing is the same as rejecting Him. No one can do the work of accepting for you. You must do it if you want it, otherwise you are rejecting your redemption. No one can substitute for your labor of diligently searching (seeing) the words of Christ. No one can do the hearing of the voice of the Lord through the servant of Christ. And no one can enter into the presence of Christ in your place.

The times might change. Circumstances might be unique to our day. People may differ from persecutors in the past. But the same Faith is Required for all men to be redeemed from the fall. Receive the covenant by taking seriously the words of Christ, and you will not see me so offensive. Instead you will recognize the words I speak align with the words of Christ in the scriptures. When you do, you will naturally hear the false traditions of unbelief that has been filling your empty minds for so long, taking the place where truth should reside. In order for truth and light to accumulate, foolish traditions of unbelief must be removed. They cannot co-exist. You must choose this day, and every day, from here on out who you will serve, …and then act like it!

Gentiles and Remnant (1006 Words)

There are signs promised to identify both Gentiles and Remnant. Once both parties can be properly identified, those who are able to do so can correctly understand the prophesied sign of our day. Know who you are, and be that, rather than following a man.

Who’s Who: Gentiles and Remnant are specifically prophesied of in 3 Nephi 21. In the creation, lights in the firmament were given for times and for seasons, and for signs and for wonders. As the eclipse has just cut across America, it represents the cutting off of light across America. Those who have eyes and ears to see and hear can make the connection that the lights in the firmament have issued a sign, indicating a time. But, what time? Now, more than ever in our lives, the ability to identify who’s who matters, …if we are to recognize and understand the signs and the times. To identify who’s who, I’ll quote three scriptures:

3 Nephi 21:1

“1. And verily I say unto you, I give unto you a sign, that ye may know the time when these things shall be about to take place—that I shall gather in, from their long dispersion, my people, O house of Israel, and shall establish again among them my Zion;”

Here the Lord has prepared for our day a sign, so that we might know the time, of the gathering of what the Lord called, “MY PEOPLE.” Those who are gathered, are those who were scattered, who are “O house of Israel.” The next verse identifies another sign for us to correctly see who the Gentiles are:

2. And behold, this is the thing which I will give unto you for a sign—for verily I say unto you that when these things which I declare unto you, and which I shall declare unto you hereafter of myself, and by the power of the Holy Ghost which shall be given unto you of the Father, shall be made known unto the Gentiles that they may know concerning this people who are a remnant of the house of Jacob, and concerning this my people who shall be scattered by them;”

This is Christ prophesying of the BOM being “…made known unto the Gentiles.” Thus, the Gentiles are those who originated the BOM in our day, and that is the MORMONS (Gentiles = Mormons). Also, it identifies who the Remnant are. They are the ones scattered by the Gentiles, and they are called by Christ, “my people.” To put it simply, through the LDS church the Lord has restored the BOM as prophesied, thus identifying them as Gentiles:

5. Therefore, when these works and the works which shall be wrought among you hereafter shall come forth from the Gentiles, unto your seed which shall dwindle in unbelief because of iniquity;”

The Gentiles referred to here are clearly the LDS Mormons and their descendants, including the Europeans who are the founders of America, and their descendants. Joseph Smith, in the dedication of Kirtland, re-stated emphatically that the LDS are associated with the Gentiles (D&C 109:60). “Your seed” identifies the seed of the children of Lehi, to whom the BOM was written about and to whom it addresses.

Once Identified: Once both parties can be properly identified, those who are able see it can correctly understand the prophesied sign of our day. Correct understanding provides an option for the Gentiles (or the LDS) to repent and be numbered among the Remnant, and for the Remnant to recognize who they are, awake, and arise:

6. For thus it behooveth the Father that it should come forth from the Gentiles, that he may show forth his power unto the Gentiles, for this cause that the Gentiles, if they will not harden their hearts, that they may repent and come unto me and be baptized in my name and know of the true points of my doctrine, that they may be numbered among my people, O house of Israel;”

Gentiles are promised that if they don’t harden their hearts, they’ll self-identify by: repenting, being baptized, knowing the true points of Christ’s doctrine, and becoming “MY PEOPLE,” …or in other words: O house of Israel.  Knowing the true points of Christ’s doctrine is the foundation to exercising great and unshaken faith in Him. Without it, they are limited to their unbelief, or their incorrect belief.

If the Remnant recognize who they are, awake, and arise, …they too will see magnificent promises offered to them:

7. And when these things come to pass that thy seed shall begin to know these things—it shall be a sign unto them, that they may know that the work of the Father hath already commenced unto the fulfilling of the covenant which he hath made unto the people who are of the house of Israel.”

This is an amazing prophesy to those who the Lord calls “MY PEOPLE,” referred to here as “thy seed.” Christ is speaking to Lehi’s descendants at Bountiful. Their seed is what Christ refers to as “MY PEOPLE.” The sign promised them is that when they wake up and “…begin to know these things,” to actually study them, to feast upon them, to hunger and thirst after them, …then “…the work of the Father hath already commenced to the fulfilling of the covenant…” the very covenant that gathers US.

Conclusion: Know who you are, and be that, rather than following a man. Know your role! To thine own self be true (William Shakespeare whaaaaat!). You are the people of the land, the scattered, the ones being gathered, the seed, the Lords people, …literally KANAKA MAOLI (translated: true people). Recognize your identity as the Remnant prophesied in the scriptures, you are so ignorant of. Awake and arise from the dust. When you finally take the scriptures seriously, that will be a sign to you that the Father’s work has already commenced, that the fulness has been restored, both the covenant of the Earth and of the Heaven. Then will you be gathered, and Zion will exist, …even in Hau’ula!

Awake, Arise, Ascend, …IMUA!

Proposed: Governing Principles

Governing Principles are written for the benefit of new fellowships, to maintain an eye single to the glory of God, as they navigate in a new environment of self governance.

Salvation is individual, requiring a personal relationship with Christ. The doctrine of Christ makes a personal relationship possible through faith in Christ, repentance, and baptism. The Holy Ghost is the mind and will of God. Christ and God the Father share the same mind and will. Thus, receiving the Holy Ghost provides each individual with the power to be one with them.

Fellowships exist to assist the individual in their path to becoming one with Christ. They are to govern themselves freely, as the spirit dictates to them, choosing to gather when, where, and with whom they please. Meeting in fellowships provides the opportunity to teach, serve, and learn from both the Spirit, and one another’s experiences. Equality requires that no one be above the next and that all have value. Regional and general conferences ought to adhere to the same principle guidelines as fellowships.

Tithing is to relieve the poor among you. It can be collected and distributed as a group, a fellowship, or as individuals. If done as a group or fellowship, tithes accumulated in a common fund must be distributed by the common consent of the group or fellowship. Separate fellowships can assist one another on a case by case basis, maintaining independence and autonomy. Tithes are not to be accumulated for wealth. If there are no poor among you, excess tithes can be contributed to the needs of the temple.

Performing ordinances of baptism and sacrament require priesthood. Because of the fall, men are responsible for performing priesthood ordinances. Acquiring and exercising priesthood, in fellowships, require three key elements: ordination, sustaining, and confirmation.

Ordination: A man with the priesthood lays his hands on another man’s head, calling them by name, and confers upon them the priesthood, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sustaining: A vote of seven women are required to sustain a man to the priesthood. If the man is married, his wife must be one of the seven women, or he is not worthy.

Confirmation: Most importantly, the man must obtain confirmation of his priesthood from heaven.

In the event that priesthood has been abused, exercising priesthood in fellowships can be revoked by a fair trial, where a unanimous vote of at least twelve women find the abuser guilty.

The ordinance of baptism is a sign to heaven of an individual’s choice to receive the gospel of Christ. It does not offer membership into a fellowship or church. A man who has priesthood, may baptize, all who desire, as instructed as follows:

  • Both go down and stand in the water.
  • The man with priesthood will call the person being baptized by name, saying: “Having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.”
  • And then immerse them in the water, and come again out of the water (As circumstances allow, the ordinance ought to be performed in living waters)

Record of the baptism ought to be kept in a personal journal, and submitted to a central recorder, for the names to be kept within the temple of God.

The ordinance of sacrament should be performed as Christ prescribed in the scriptures. He instructs that all kneel. The emblems of bread and wine are to be used as symbols of the flesh and the atoning blood of Christ. If any are opposed to alcohol, or have a medical condition preventing the use of wine, use red grape juice. Bitter wine, in remembrance of Christ’s blood, is symbolic and appropriate. One with the priesthood will pray to the Father in the name of Christ saying:

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

Agency must be preserved, allowing new fellowships the freedom to learn correct principles and govern themselves. Keep your eye single to the glory of God. Seek to receive His mind and will. Bear one another’s burdens through the path, that they may be light, and associate with one another as equals. Your oneness is a testimony to the world that Christ is the redeemer of all.

Prerequisite Knowledge (801 Words)

Entrance into Zion requires Prerequisite Knowledge. Chastening has everything to do with it. Only those who love God, love God’s chastening.

I know, I know, I know, …Who died and made you God’s spokesman. Relax! I have never offered you any kind of recommend for professing me as a prophet, seer, and revelator. All I have ever done is quote scriptures, in correct context, and expected myself to be held accountable to the very same scripture as all of you. The only difference between us in the past has been, I have  made a serious effort to study them, and few of you have even taken the time to read them at all. Now, don’t get all offended and act like I am standing on a soap-box, holding myself above you, as if I am the big man, and you the little man. Truth is, once we can all take a serious effort to study, you’ll quickly learn how little we have been taught about the gospel of Christ, despite the decades of our collective memberships. And the sooner we take a team effort to acquire the missing knowledge, the sooner we can be redeemed of our ignorance, together! We must recognize that Zion requires Prerequisite Knowledge.

In D&C 95, the Lord declared that He chastens those in whom He loves. In His chastening, He offers an escape route. We ought not to fear the chastening of the words of the Lord, otherwise we will reject our escape route.

D&C 95:1

“1. Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you whom I love, and whom I love I also chasten that their sins may be forgiven, for with the chastisement I prepare a way for their deliverance in all things out of temptation, and I have loved you—”

Only those who love God, love God’s chastening. They will receive it with glad hearts and with good cheer, recognizing that in the chastening, we are being redeemed from the fall. Eternal Life was only found through knowing God and Christ, and how better to know them than by constantly being chastened, until our mind and will is precisely their mind and will, and when they appear we will know them, because we will be like them.

D&C 105:1-6

“1. Verily I say unto you who have assembled yourselves together that you may learn my will concerning the redemption of mine afflicted people—

2. Behold, I say unto you, were it not for the transgressions of my people, speaking concerning the church and not individuals, they might have been redeemed even now.

3. But behold, they have not learned to be obedient to the things which I required at their hands, but are full of all manner of evil, and do not impart of their substance, as becometh saints, to the poor and afflicted among them;

4. And are not united according to the union required by the law of the celestial kingdom;

5. And Zion cannot be built up unless it is by the principlesof the law of the celestial kingdom; otherwise I cannot receive her unto myself.

6. And my people must needs be chastened until they learn obedience, if it must needs be, by the things which they suffer.”

Hawaiians, lets drink from the gentle waters, available to us now, before the floods come. We must recognize that the early saints failed. They did not succeed, otherwise they would have been “…redeemed even now.” Let’s not repeat their mistakes, and take the words of Christ lightly. We must be “…united according to the union required by the law of the celestial kingdom…” and nothing less. Zion cannot be built without the “…principles of the law of the celestial kingdom…” The celestial law is not optional for Zion, it is Prerequisite Knowledge.

Conclusion: My Ohana, you have seen my efforts as everything but correct, and that is fine. But don’t disregard the words of Christ. I have quoted them, in context, and I expect to be held to the very same rule. Yasmine asked me the other day, “If God said to go back to church, would you?” I would! But if God were to tell you that the LDS church has gone astray and fallen into complete apostasy, I ask you, “Would you believe it?”

I don’t care how you spend three hours of your sabbath, wether in the LDS church, serving, or observing the heavens on the beach, for a greater understanding of God’s patterns. That’s your choice. What matters to me is that we don’t take the necessary Prerequisite Knowledge, found in the words of Christ, lightly, as did the early saints. What matters to me is that we are ONE! Lokahi is the effort towards oneness, and that is what I desire to be with you.

We all have value, and I need you. No rush, …but HURRY UP ALREADY!

God Blessed America

God has always sought a people. God blessed the Jews; God blessed the Mormons; And God Blessed America. God’s blessings were never in question, …wether we respond and return to Him is!

From the Fall of Adam, God sought to gather His people. Each time He offered, only a rare few would gather. Many have been called, but few have responded, to become chosen. In every dispensation the Lord has sent servants to gather His sheep. The response of the sheep is a self-selecting process.

Scriptures are written by those who’ve been in the heavens, describing the heavens, so that what is in heaven can be on earth. When we read the scriptures to gain insight of the heavens, …to make on earth as it is in heaven, …then scriptures become a tool to unite. Otherwise, it plants vanity. Properly used, scriptures familiarizes it’s reader with the Lord’s voice in the past, so they can recognize it in the present. The reader must be familiar with God, His correct attributes/characteristics/and perfections, …and then the reader can know that the path they are on is acceptable to God (Lectures on Faith). Any other use for scripture, produces pride and vanity.

The Jewish Pharisees and Sadducees took the scriptures from simple principles, and KILLED it, to make laws. You can control others with laws, because laws must be enforced. The scriptures weren’t written upon their hearts, the principles were abandoned by God’s people, so the laws became a burden on their backs. At one point, God blessed the Jews, but their scattered condition finds them in a different circumstance today.

The Mormons have chosen a similar path after the death of Joseph and Hyrum Smith. They have claimed ownership of the scriptures, not being willing to be held accountable to them. They’d prefer one man speaks with Christ, and all others do what one man says. Their laws centralize governing powers to Salt Lake City. They control all the money, allowing poverty to thrive, even in areas that the church is prospering. The saints (speaking generally) cannot hear the gathering voice of the Lord, as they still suffer the 1832 condemnation of disregarding the Book of Mormon and the other commandments. They have changed and added scripture, without the insight of the heavens (admittedly). And now they claim every talk from General Conference as scripture. God blessed the Mormons with the Book of Mormon/D&C/POGP/JST Bible, but they’re casting people out, against the doctrine of their own scripture (3 Nephi 18).

God Blessed America with a constitutional foundation, based on the Bible. But the constitution is now amended so badly, that it’s almost impossible to see the black Michael Jackson underneath all that white plastic surgery.

Is it God who did this, or is it man? God’s blessings were never in question. Our loyalties are. When will we sacrifice our mind and will for God’s? We claim to believe in a God that we don’t care to read about. We say we trust in God, when we don’t care to discuss His characteristics/attributes/and perfections. We will defend the Mormons, and fight to the death to defend America, when Mormon doctrine and American law is unrecognizable compared to it’s origins, just like Michael Jackson.

Conclusion: I know that it sounds like I’m critical, negative, and always condemning. It wouldn’t be that way if you would take to love the scriptures you have professed to believe. I don’t need you to agree with me at all. I don’t need a forced conversation, concerning the scriptures. All I care about is that we discuss them. I can say what I think, you can say what you think, but the scriptures ought to determine who is right or wrong. You don’t need to tell me what to do, nor I you. We ought to respect agency.

If you want to talk about scripture, I am available to talk. I always have been willing to talk to any of you about that.

More Law is Big-Badda-Bad! (2147 Words WAAAAY LONG!)

To make what I have said even clearer, I’ll direct your attention to Nephi. To Nephi, and to all prophets for that matter, they all sought to turn men’s attention to Christ, by teaching correct principles and letting them govern themselves. If principles were always the objective of true prophets, then More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Mom has expressed that I’m “off the reservation”when I quoted D&C 59:16-24, …using the blessings described of the earth, and applying it “willy-nilly” to the covenant of the words of Christ. Essentially, I am being accused of taking the scripture out of context. If it were in context, it would, according to Mom, be tied to only keeping the sabbath day holy. However, what she has missed is the reason for sabbath observance, fasting and prayer, …as it is tied to Zion, which is in the first verses of the chapter.

D&C 59:1-4

“1. Behold, blessed, saith the Lord, are they who have come up unto this land with an eye single to my glory, according to my commandments.

2. For those that live shall inherit the earth, and those that die shall rest from all their labors, and their works shall follow them; and they shall receive a crown in the mansions of my Father, which I have prepared for them.

3. Yea, blessed are they whose feet stand upon the land of Zion, who have obeyed my gospel; for they shall receive for their reward the good things of the earth, and it shall bring forth in its strength.

4. And they shall also be crowned with blessings from above, yea, and with commandments not a few, and with revelations in their time—they that are faithful and diligent before me.

5. Wherefore…

I ended that quote with “wherefore…” to make a point. The word “wherefore” is another way of saying, “for this reason…” or “as a result of which…” or “since this is the big picture, now let me tell you about how it is going to happen…” (obviously my interpretation. But it fits!). Once we have been introduced to the topic of Zion, that is where the two great commandments, sabbath, fasting, and prayer have value. Sabbath has value, but it’s value is Zion. Therefore, Mom is out of context, not me. Mom thought that sabbath worship was the driving principle, but I have shown that Zion is the driving principle, NOT sabbath worship. Sabbath observance ought to support the efforts toward Zion. Although, the way I used the scripture in my last blog emphasized the rewards of the earth, it was still in context, as I was pointing at the principles that produced the earth’s reward. So, there you go!

You see, the vision is given by principle, and then “the law” supports that principle, to produce the desired result. However, Mom would recommend that we ignore the guiding principle, that drives the law, …and mindlessly have laws not a few. My observation from my exchange with Mom is, she’d prefer more laws and only a few principles. That idea results in needing to be commanded in all things, as a slothful and not a wise servant.

Don’t be confused, thinking that commandments not a few, is the same as laws not a few. They are different. Consider the ten “commandments” that Moses gave. One of them was, Thou shalt not kill. If it was a law, then Nephi would have been breaking the law, and God would have been responsible for a contradiction. A contradiction is a lie, and as such, God would cease to be God. However, if commandment was viewed as a principle, rather than a law, God maintains status as having no contradiction. And that fits with the idea of being blessed with “commandments not a few.” More commandments are great, when we are not being commanded in all things, but More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Nephi supports the idea that principles are the driver, and NOT laws. He recommends that we talk of Christ, rejoice in Christ, preach of Christ, and prophesy of Christ. It is clear that Nephi isn’t recommending to do all of that, merely to boost Christ’s ego. I suggest that it has more to do with the “principles” of Christ, then it has to do with Christ Himself, …since every time you look in Christ’s direction, He points to His father. Our eyes ought to be single to the glory of God, and Christ exemplifies “THAT” in everything He teaches. Nephi continues to try to convince Mom, and all of us, that the law is only a means to get somewhere. And without the objective (the principle; Christ), the law is useless. Here’s what Nephi wrote:

2 Nephi 25:27-29

27. Wherefore, we speak concerning the law that our children may know the deadness of the law; and they, by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ, and know for what end the law was given. And after the law is fulfilled in Christ, that they need not harden their hearts against him when the law ought to be done away.

28. And now behold, my people, ye are a stiff-necked people; wherefore, I have spoken plainly unto you, that ye cannot misunderstand. And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you; for they are sufficient to teach any man the right way; for the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him ye also deny the prophets and the law.

29. And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in no wise be cast out.”

Interestingly enough, I NOW stand upon the principle of following no man but Christ, exactly as Nephi has taught, …and for that reason, both my wife and I were reprimanded, condemned as apostate, and cast-out by the LDS church. It will not be long before they take casting us out to the extreme of excommunication, sealing their own judgments upon their own heads. I recommend that they don’t do it, and let us be counted as inactive. But I don’t believe their PRIDE will allow it.

It seems clear that Nephi agrees with me, and does NOT agree with Mom, as he calls the law dead. Of course he agrees with me, because I got the idea from him, so technically I agree with him. Nephi recommends that some laws ought to be done away, and it will be the hardness of the hearts of men, against Christ, that stop men from letting laws be done away, because it doesn’t lead to Christ any longer.

To Nephi, and to all prophets for that matter, they all sought to turn men’s attention to Christ, by teaching correct principles and letting them govern themselves. John Taylor, the third President of the Church, once overheard a member of the Illinois legislature who was visiting Nauvoo speaking to the Prophet Joseph Smith. The man asked the Prophet Joseph how he was “enabled to govern so many people and to preserve such perfect order, remarking at the same time it was impossible for them to do it anywhere else.”“Mr. Smith remarked that it was very easy to do that. ‘How?’ responded the gentleman; ‘to us it is very difficult.’ Mr. Smith replied, ‘I teach them correct principles, and they govern themselves’” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith [2007], 284).

If principles were always the objective of true prophets, then More Law is Big-Badda-Bad! Notice, when the people are ripened for destruction, the laws have grown in complexity, the principles have been destroyed, and that requires a huge increase of lawyers and attorneys to filter through it all. In those days the lawyers and judges got rich off of the contention of the people, because the people forfeited their principles, to fair sumptuously on the law. Principles threatened the success of those who used the law to coerce, manipulate, and extort for personal gain. Today is no different. Our courts are jam packed. Lawyers fair sumptuously on contention. To get ahead in merchandise, the law is being extorted, and the only success requires that you dig a pit for your neighbor. And we say to ourselves, “There is no harm in that,” fulfilling Nephi’s prophecy in 2 Nephi 28. The law is getting more and more complex, as over 100,000 pages of new law is added every year. It is a clear indicator that principles are null and void in our day. And the pattern was the same among the Jews, who used the law to justify crucifying Christ.

Conclusion: Let’s not be those people, claiming to believe in Christ by word alone, when our actions tell on us. Our actions tell on us when we use the law to justify our sins. They tell on us when we prefer following a law above recognizing the voice of the Lord. They tell on us when we sing praises to men, claiming that we can find salvation by following a prophet, while rejecting a true messenger speaking the words of Christ. They tell on us when we defend a church, and it’s laws, while ignoring true principles.

If the principle is guiding you, then you’d prefer a conversation about the words of Christ, even if it puts you in question. The Truth ought to be our biggest concern, not our perceptions. The words of Christ ought to be reconsidered, to identify the truth, and NOT used merely to justify your salvation through a membership in a church, and an association with some general authority.

Your offense from my messages have nothing to do with the enormous quantity of my expressions of Christ, and my message of truth. All of your offense can be summed up in your defense of the church and it’s prophet, and your insecurity of your standing before the Lord. Just as you, I am far from perfect, and I have claimed nothing less. Just because I speak the truth doesn’t mean that I am free of mistakes. However, I can stand before God this day with a clear conscience, not because I claim to be better than you, but because I will consider the words of Christ, to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Everyone filters truth through their traditions of unbelief. I seek to have less and less unbelief, and that requires that I no longer align with LDS laws, causing me to be cast out from among them. And by your responses, although you would never physically cast me out (I think), …you dislike my association specifically because of my opinions of the LDS churches laws, that conflict with the words of Christ.

My testimony is based upon true and correct principles. I know this because I know the words of Christ, I constantly dig into scripture to get more, and will listen to anyone claiming to teach it. I will forfeit the law if it conflicts with my principles. But before I forfeit the law, I will question my principles, because that is where I must be right with God. Anyone who recommends to me “the law,” over true and correct principles, will never convince me to their way of thinking. More law is an indicator of empty principles. Again, More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

PS: In the near future, you will find conflict all around you, as your world will be governed by more and more law that conflict with your principles. And you deserve it, if you want to forfeit principle for “the law.” Dad’s work place is jammed packed full of them, being employed at “THE BYU!” (said in a deep, ominous voice). He isn’t the only one suffering those conditions, because it is an epidemic at all of the BYU’s.

As gay rights activists force laws upon everyone, requiring us not only to tolerate gay behavior, but to accept it, …our principles will conflict with accepting their behavior as normal. And within Mom’s work place, in the schools, she will soon be required to teach that to be gay is normal, and not offensive.

These issues are already at our door step, as our country has devalued our currency, made debt a necessity, bound our entire country in bondage, taken to wage war on others, whored our constitution, and perfectly prepared us for captivity. Like it or not, your principles are threatened by “the law.” I would not recommend you stand upon the law, when it ought to be done away, …otherwise you will be done away with the law you uphold. Correct principles is where it’s at. More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Three Patterns (616 Words)

Three Patterns

There are Three Patterns that deserve significant attention, as they are the only path leading into Zion. The first establishes a pattern that is the foundational-concept all must understand and do. The second properly expresses  how line upon line, precept upon precept really works. And the last is a pattern of the gathering of Zion. Let’s get to work.

The first pattern depicts how an individual ought to get started. It first requires an admission of ignorance to the things of God. Once you can admit it, you have humbled yourself to a possible solution, so next you must search the words of Christ, to write them upon your heart. This is a slow process that you don’t want to hasten, but would highly benefit from committing significant effort, in ponderous thought, and writing every word upon your heart. Most give up here, as this work can sometimes seem unrewarding, at first. As you continue the effort, it will be suddenly and often times unexpected that you will understand a concept you’ve never before understood. What wasn’t there at first, now suddenly appears. This is called revelation, and it was revealed by the power of the Holy Ghost. Now that you have searched, and received revelation, a testimony requires that you put that revelation to action. Implementing the revelation by obedience is an indicator that you did not ask these things in vain, and that you fully intend to observe and keep all the commandments you are given. Armed with a testimony, from your experience, you are now able to repeat the pattern, to get more knowledge, more revelation, and take greater action, to obtain a greater testimony. That is the first pattern!

The second pattern properly explains what “line upon line, precept upon precept” really means. The process for getting the scriptures written upon your heart, obtaining revelation, acting upon your revelation, and bearing testimony must be constantly repeated. As the pattern is repeated, greater revelations will be obtained, and greater actions will be taken, because you have come to align your actions with the words of Christ. Line upon line was intended to produce increase and progression, not excuses that will accumulate damnation.

The third pattern is how I believe Zion will be gathered. It will always start at the individual, who loves the words of Christ, and has repented of the condemnation, by not only speaking the words of Christ, but also by doing accordingly. From the individual, there must be a uniting of the couple, based on the same covenant. From the couple, a group of couples can be united based upon the same covenant. It is the words of Christ alone that is the covenant that will determine who’ll be gathered into Zion.

I can only offer you my understanding of the words of Christ, but my understanding is insufficient to save you. If you are to be saved, it will be because you have chosen to value the mind and will of God offered in the words of Christ, to develop your own relationship with God, personally. No man can offer you salvation. All a man can do is point in a direction. You are totally accountable for authenticating the message, by what you know of the words of Christ, and choosing the right direction.

Conclusion: The only thing stopping you from knowing the words of Christ is what’s in your heart. While you are all good people, you are still required to make choices. I can only do what I can do to make ingesting the concepts easier. You must still make a concerted effort to write them upon your own hearts. I wish you the best!
