Key of Knowledge (926 Words)

Godliness is to be near God, and the power of Godliness is to know God, thus God is the Key of Knowledge. False teachers fail to come to God, stand in the way of others approaching God, fearing their own failure, and proclaiming a corrupt message. Eternal life is to know God.

Those who are near God are Godly. To be in the presence of God requires nothing less than Godliness, otherwise His presence alone is sufficient for the ungodly to wish the mountains would cover them in their guilt and shame. The Savior has provided a way for all to be Godly, while in the flesh. He offers the Key of Knowledge. He offers the Holy Ghost, which gives access to the mind and will of God.

Moses 6:61

“61. Therefore it is given to abide in you; the record of heaven; the Comforter; the peaceable things of immortal glory; the truth of all things; that which quickeneth all things, which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things, and hath all power according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice, and judgment.”

The power of Godliness is to know God. Having been near God, an individual comes to know God, and from that knowledge they can act in confidence that what they are doing is pleasing to the God that they know. It is through confidence that power is produced.

If someone were to tell me that they’re sure that they saw Dad dancing on the streets of Waikiki, I would know that they got the wrong Dad. However, if someone reported that they saw Dad at a home improvement show, a lumber yard, a construction site, a chicken feed store, a laundry supply house, or a green house, the certainty that they were talking about our Dad is high. And if they claimed seeing him at all of those places, I have extreme confidence that they knew who I was, and knew who my Dad is. Likewise Godliness is to be near to God, and the power of Godliness is to know God. What matters most is the Key of Knowledge.

False teachers are described in Luke:

Luke 11:52

“52. Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the Key of Knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.”

False teachers have never experienced what they try teaching. Luke is clear that false teachers haven’t entered into the heavens themselves, and when they see people trying to do what they’ve failed to do, false teachers stand in the way of those that were in fact entering in. They remove Key of Knowledge. They prevent salvation and redemption, discouraging those who are working at returning into the presence of the Lord while in the flesh. They proclaim a corrupted message, even the philosophies of men, mingled with scriptures. And they are certain that it cannot happen, because they’ve never had it happen to them. In their ignorance they establish rules, corporate standards, uniformity, and massive marketing campaigns, to justify their ignorance, and they label it a “House of Order.” When they make their claims, they do it in Christ’s name, taking His name in vain. It is all in vain, if you fail to actually know God and Christ.

Ignore the ignorant, and keep seeking His face in the flesh. Those who are wise will not respect the lie intended to deceive true disciples to stop seeking after Christ. Instead, they will awake and arise by studying the words of Christ, to know God.

John 17:3

“3. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Conclusion: Knowing God and Christ is the only way to eternal life. It doesn’t matter how many apostles you know, how many scriptures you memorized and can recite, or how many months of consecutive visit/home teaching you have done in your life. It doesn’t matter how many names you have gathered, and done ordinances for, none of it matters if all you have is ignorance. Sealing yourselves to the ignorant dead, is sealing yourselves to the damned. However, when you have knowledge, then you have value to your dead, and you can be a savior on mount Zion.

When you have the Key of Knowledge, what you have is the power of Godliness, and you are Godlike. The Holy Ghost is offered to those who will receive it, to make men and women more Godlike. The beatitudes say blessed are… or Godlike is… and instructions are given there, to assist those who sincerely seek Christ to become Godlike. When you have been redeemed, and brought back into the presence of God, then you are Godly, and have the power of Godliness, and can testify that you do know, not merely believing, who Christ and God is. Then you can save your kindred dead by teaching them about the God that you know.

Don’t be mad because the gospel doesn’t work from your vantage point as an LDS, following traditions of men that have kept you outside of the presence of the Lord in the flesh. Repent, simply turn around, be humble and don’t grumble. Just search the words of Christ so that you can be reconnected to the Key of Knowledge. It will not only give you an advantage now, it will be to your benefit in the life to come. Don’t let the fear of man stop you from Knowing God and Christ. Once you know them, then will your confidence wax strong.

Glory! (841 Words)

Signs in the Heavens

The Earth abides the Celestial Law, written in the lights of the heavens, …and she has kept it from the beginning. The restoration of Joseph Smith was a Terrestrial Law ( a lesser law), intended to reconnect all to Celestial Law (a greater law). The constitution of America was a Telestial Law, offering freedom, maintaining agency, relying upon the greater good of the heart and mind of men. The Law you abide will determine your Glory!

There is a law irrevocably decreed in heaven, upon which all blessings are predicated. All blessings come, based upon obedience to the law upon which it was given. There are laws that are Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial. Earth keeps a Celestial Law, therefore it will obtain a Celestial Glory.

D&C 88:22-26

22. For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial Glory.

23. And he who cannot abide the law of a terrestrial kingdom cannot abide a terrestrial Glory.

24. And he who cannot abide the law of a telestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial Glory; therefore he is not meet for a kingdom of glory. Therefore he must abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory.

25. And again, verily I say unto you, the earth abideth the law of a celestial kingdom, for it filleth the measure of its creation, and transgresseth not the law

26. Wherefore, it shall be sanctified; yea, notwithstanding it shall die, it shall be quickened again, and shall abide the power by which it is quickened, and the righteous shall inherit it.”

The Earth has not transgressed the Celestial Law, from the 3rd day of creation, when the lights were set in the firmament, for signs (Genesis 1:14). When the Sun, Moon, and Stars move, the Earth takes her direction from them, and acts in obedience. Leaves change colors, new plants grow, animals are born, harvests follow it’s season, and the tides and waves obey that law. In the first dispensation of Adam, people lived according to the lights in the firmament, and their lives were prolonged. Ancient civilizations, like Stonehenge, charted the heavens with great detail, to keep the Celestial Law. The lights in the heavens cannot be controlled by man. The only way to loose that law is for man to be distracted for a generation, and forget what it all means.

The restoration of Joseph Smith returned us to a knowledge of Terrestrial Law (lesser law). With it comes “prosperity” in the land. But that term has been badly abused and adulterated to mean: worldly success, real estate holdings, shopping malls, and man made structures. Prospering in the land was intended to reconnect mankind to Celestial Law (greater law). Since the land has kept the Celestial Law from the beginning, as mankind reconnects to the land, the land will teach men the Celestial Law, until man is restored to the same knowledge as the Earth, and man and Earth are one because they obey the same law. That is how man prospers and inherits the Earth.

Telestial Law is capitalism. The constitution protects the agency of man, and is the highest degree of Telestial Law, while communism and anarchy is at the lower end. There is no kingdom where there is no law. America has strayed from capitalism, slipped into socialism, and are on the verge of communism. God will not allow it to happen any longer, without His testimony against it.

Conclusion: On 21 August 2017 a sign in the heavens will be given to the North American continent, as an eclipse cuts across that land, and that land alone, …from the North West, diagonally down through the South East. The moon will block out the light of the sun to the Gentile Nation, of which the LDS are associated (D&C 109:60). Your invitation has been offered within the words of Christ, to “prosper” in the land, and see the signs in the heavens. Soon after the eclipse will be another sign of the birth of the kingdom of God on the Earth, as Jupiter exits the womb of the constellation Vergo, on 9 September 2017, …prophesied in Revelations 12.

There is no need to panic, and run for your bomb shelters. You don’t even ever have to leave the LDS church. But, you’d better ask yourself some serious questions. When have you ever been instructed of the Celestial Law in the heavens, equinoxes, solstices, and signs in the heavens in your LDS church services? That NEVER happens. Even reading scriptures in church is rare, and if you understand it, you run the risk of getting kicked out like me. What you will find in the LDS church, however is jam packed of Telestial law. They wave the American flag, pledge allegiance, sing patriotic songs, teach people to market the church, while leaving their members starved for further light and knowledge. You are malnourished in that environment. Aren’t you hungry yet? Isn’t it about time we feast upon the words of Christ?

The Law you abide will determine your Glory!

More Law is Big-Badda-Bad! (2147 Words WAAAAY LONG!)

To make what I have said even clearer, I’ll direct your attention to Nephi. To Nephi, and to all prophets for that matter, they all sought to turn men’s attention to Christ, by teaching correct principles and letting them govern themselves. If principles were always the objective of true prophets, then More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Mom has expressed that I’m “off the reservation”when I quoted D&C 59:16-24, …using the blessings described of the earth, and applying it “willy-nilly” to the covenant of the words of Christ. Essentially, I am being accused of taking the scripture out of context. If it were in context, it would, according to Mom, be tied to only keeping the sabbath day holy. However, what she has missed is the reason for sabbath observance, fasting and prayer, …as it is tied to Zion, which is in the first verses of the chapter.

D&C 59:1-4

“1. Behold, blessed, saith the Lord, are they who have come up unto this land with an eye single to my glory, according to my commandments.

2. For those that live shall inherit the earth, and those that die shall rest from all their labors, and their works shall follow them; and they shall receive a crown in the mansions of my Father, which I have prepared for them.

3. Yea, blessed are they whose feet stand upon the land of Zion, who have obeyed my gospel; for they shall receive for their reward the good things of the earth, and it shall bring forth in its strength.

4. And they shall also be crowned with blessings from above, yea, and with commandments not a few, and with revelations in their time—they that are faithful and diligent before me.

5. Wherefore…

I ended that quote with “wherefore…” to make a point. The word “wherefore” is another way of saying, “for this reason…” or “as a result of which…” or “since this is the big picture, now let me tell you about how it is going to happen…” (obviously my interpretation. But it fits!). Once we have been introduced to the topic of Zion, that is where the two great commandments, sabbath, fasting, and prayer have value. Sabbath has value, but it’s value is Zion. Therefore, Mom is out of context, not me. Mom thought that sabbath worship was the driving principle, but I have shown that Zion is the driving principle, NOT sabbath worship. Sabbath observance ought to support the efforts toward Zion. Although, the way I used the scripture in my last blog emphasized the rewards of the earth, it was still in context, as I was pointing at the principles that produced the earth’s reward. So, there you go!

You see, the vision is given by principle, and then “the law” supports that principle, to produce the desired result. However, Mom would recommend that we ignore the guiding principle, that drives the law, …and mindlessly have laws not a few. My observation from my exchange with Mom is, she’d prefer more laws and only a few principles. That idea results in needing to be commanded in all things, as a slothful and not a wise servant.

Don’t be confused, thinking that commandments not a few, is the same as laws not a few. They are different. Consider the ten “commandments” that Moses gave. One of them was, Thou shalt not kill. If it was a law, then Nephi would have been breaking the law, and God would have been responsible for a contradiction. A contradiction is a lie, and as such, God would cease to be God. However, if commandment was viewed as a principle, rather than a law, God maintains status as having no contradiction. And that fits with the idea of being blessed with “commandments not a few.” More commandments are great, when we are not being commanded in all things, but More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Nephi supports the idea that principles are the driver, and NOT laws. He recommends that we talk of Christ, rejoice in Christ, preach of Christ, and prophesy of Christ. It is clear that Nephi isn’t recommending to do all of that, merely to boost Christ’s ego. I suggest that it has more to do with the “principles” of Christ, then it has to do with Christ Himself, …since every time you look in Christ’s direction, He points to His father. Our eyes ought to be single to the glory of God, and Christ exemplifies “THAT” in everything He teaches. Nephi continues to try to convince Mom, and all of us, that the law is only a means to get somewhere. And without the objective (the principle; Christ), the law is useless. Here’s what Nephi wrote:

2 Nephi 25:27-29

27. Wherefore, we speak concerning the law that our children may know the deadness of the law; and they, by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ, and know for what end the law was given. And after the law is fulfilled in Christ, that they need not harden their hearts against him when the law ought to be done away.

28. And now behold, my people, ye are a stiff-necked people; wherefore, I have spoken plainly unto you, that ye cannot misunderstand. And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you; for they are sufficient to teach any man the right way; for the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him ye also deny the prophets and the law.

29. And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in no wise be cast out.”

Interestingly enough, I NOW stand upon the principle of following no man but Christ, exactly as Nephi has taught, …and for that reason, both my wife and I were reprimanded, condemned as apostate, and cast-out by the LDS church. It will not be long before they take casting us out to the extreme of excommunication, sealing their own judgments upon their own heads. I recommend that they don’t do it, and let us be counted as inactive. But I don’t believe their PRIDE will allow it.

It seems clear that Nephi agrees with me, and does NOT agree with Mom, as he calls the law dead. Of course he agrees with me, because I got the idea from him, so technically I agree with him. Nephi recommends that some laws ought to be done away, and it will be the hardness of the hearts of men, against Christ, that stop men from letting laws be done away, because it doesn’t lead to Christ any longer.

To Nephi, and to all prophets for that matter, they all sought to turn men’s attention to Christ, by teaching correct principles and letting them govern themselves. John Taylor, the third President of the Church, once overheard a member of the Illinois legislature who was visiting Nauvoo speaking to the Prophet Joseph Smith. The man asked the Prophet Joseph how he was “enabled to govern so many people and to preserve such perfect order, remarking at the same time it was impossible for them to do it anywhere else.”“Mr. Smith remarked that it was very easy to do that. ‘How?’ responded the gentleman; ‘to us it is very difficult.’ Mr. Smith replied, ‘I teach them correct principles, and they govern themselves’” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith [2007], 284).

If principles were always the objective of true prophets, then More Law is Big-Badda-Bad! Notice, when the people are ripened for destruction, the laws have grown in complexity, the principles have been destroyed, and that requires a huge increase of lawyers and attorneys to filter through it all. In those days the lawyers and judges got rich off of the contention of the people, because the people forfeited their principles, to fair sumptuously on the law. Principles threatened the success of those who used the law to coerce, manipulate, and extort for personal gain. Today is no different. Our courts are jam packed. Lawyers fair sumptuously on contention. To get ahead in merchandise, the law is being extorted, and the only success requires that you dig a pit for your neighbor. And we say to ourselves, “There is no harm in that,” fulfilling Nephi’s prophecy in 2 Nephi 28. The law is getting more and more complex, as over 100,000 pages of new law is added every year. It is a clear indicator that principles are null and void in our day. And the pattern was the same among the Jews, who used the law to justify crucifying Christ.

Conclusion: Let’s not be those people, claiming to believe in Christ by word alone, when our actions tell on us. Our actions tell on us when we use the law to justify our sins. They tell on us when we prefer following a law above recognizing the voice of the Lord. They tell on us when we sing praises to men, claiming that we can find salvation by following a prophet, while rejecting a true messenger speaking the words of Christ. They tell on us when we defend a church, and it’s laws, while ignoring true principles.

If the principle is guiding you, then you’d prefer a conversation about the words of Christ, even if it puts you in question. The Truth ought to be our biggest concern, not our perceptions. The words of Christ ought to be reconsidered, to identify the truth, and NOT used merely to justify your salvation through a membership in a church, and an association with some general authority.

Your offense from my messages have nothing to do with the enormous quantity of my expressions of Christ, and my message of truth. All of your offense can be summed up in your defense of the church and it’s prophet, and your insecurity of your standing before the Lord. Just as you, I am far from perfect, and I have claimed nothing less. Just because I speak the truth doesn’t mean that I am free of mistakes. However, I can stand before God this day with a clear conscience, not because I claim to be better than you, but because I will consider the words of Christ, to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Everyone filters truth through their traditions of unbelief. I seek to have less and less unbelief, and that requires that I no longer align with LDS laws, causing me to be cast out from among them. And by your responses, although you would never physically cast me out (I think), …you dislike my association specifically because of my opinions of the LDS churches laws, that conflict with the words of Christ.

My testimony is based upon true and correct principles. I know this because I know the words of Christ, I constantly dig into scripture to get more, and will listen to anyone claiming to teach it. I will forfeit the law if it conflicts with my principles. But before I forfeit the law, I will question my principles, because that is where I must be right with God. Anyone who recommends to me “the law,” over true and correct principles, will never convince me to their way of thinking. More law is an indicator of empty principles. Again, More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

PS: In the near future, you will find conflict all around you, as your world will be governed by more and more law that conflict with your principles. And you deserve it, if you want to forfeit principle for “the law.” Dad’s work place is jammed packed full of them, being employed at “THE BYU!” (said in a deep, ominous voice). He isn’t the only one suffering those conditions, because it is an epidemic at all of the BYU’s.

As gay rights activists force laws upon everyone, requiring us not only to tolerate gay behavior, but to accept it, …our principles will conflict with accepting their behavior as normal. And within Mom’s work place, in the schools, she will soon be required to teach that to be gay is normal, and not offensive.

These issues are already at our door step, as our country has devalued our currency, made debt a necessity, bound our entire country in bondage, taken to wage war on others, whored our constitution, and perfectly prepared us for captivity. Like it or not, your principles are threatened by “the law.” I would not recommend you stand upon the law, when it ought to be done away, …otherwise you will be done away with the law you uphold. Correct principles is where it’s at. More Law is Big-Badda-Bad!

Consideration- Response to Mom (816 Words)

Mom, I value your responses, as it has given me something to tack against, providing traction, …and that has produced progression in my thoughts. I believe that your recent response has stimulated revelation to me. So, I will use our recent exchange as the subject of this blog.

Mom: “I would like to see you make your point – ANY point without using the Mormon Church in it as the bad example or as a comparison or attacking its history. Leave the church alone and if it is YOUR thing, YOUR testimony, then own it as your own and not because the church this and because the church that. LEAVE THE CHURCH OUT OF THIS! If this is about Christ, then talk about Christ. If this is about the scriptures, then talk about the scriptures. It seems you cannot state anything unless you somehow turn to the church and criticize it or “prove” it wrong. Enough, already! Worship our Redeemer. Serve our Lord. Testify of Christ who is full of hope, light, and truth. Mom”

Me: “I recognize that you value the “Church” and would prefer that I leave it alone, and stop attacking it, so that I can share my perspective with you concerning light. I get that you are defensive towards the church because you have benefitted from it’s teachings, and that it has been the best tasting fruit on the market. You see the principles of tithing that you have lived and have been blessed from it. You have witnessed the whisperings of the spirit, and have a testimony of certain truths. And for that, you have established your footing upon the principles it teaches. But what you haven’t recognized is that you have established your foundation upon an institution, and NOT upon Christ.

You have assumed that the separation of the wheat from the tares would occur just as you have assumed. Christ has warned us that our ways are NOT his ways. This was to disassociate you from an institution, through a worthy test of separating wheat from tares, requiring nothing less than a witness of Christ to claim success. The institution will claim knowing a man as that success, but Christ requires “knowing HIM” alone as success. In other words, if you don’t know HIM, you have failed to be associated with the wheat, and are now grouped with the tares.

It’s a perfect test, if you’d consider it.

Considering, though, is very difficult, when you think you’re right. I have come to learn that fighting to be right, only produces contention, and necessarily rejects consideration. Faith is not threatened by consideration. So you ought not fear considering what I am saying. Fear, however, is threatened by consideration. Because consideration just might expose you to being wrong!

Despite the fact that you will profess being wrong on many occasions, you have established a position that “ON THIS OCCASION” you will die, before being wrong. And that attitude has always produced PRIDE, while consideration has ALWAYS produced humility! So, before you put words in my mouth, I’ll say it, “You suffer from a bad case of PRIDE, and because of it, you will not TRULY CONSIDER what I am saying.” That is the disease of the Gentiles, and you ought not associate yourself with them (unless they are the gentiles that are repentant. But that means that you would CONSIDER.)

Our family is very much at one, when it comes to the heart. We have screwed up many things, and Satan cannot seem to win at breaking us apart. We dislike many attributes of one another. We fight like savages at times. We have offended deeply. But, …you cannot tell me that we would not come together and work, and bear one another’s burdens, and suffer, …if any one of us needed help, was bearing a burden alone, or suffering. Waika’s death, the dramas upon us now, and all the skeletons in all of our closets are all tragic. But our bond of love, in this family, is stronger now than it has ever been. I would witness to anyone that our bond is stronger than the chords of death itself, and the powerful thing is, we all know it! What we lack, is the unity of mind! And that is because we will not consider, and are full of PRIDE.

It’s the truth, and you know it. Don’t fight it, take the chastening now while the waters of Shiloh are gentle. What is just around the corner will be difficult. It’s hard to quench your thirst, when you’re drowning. The very act of drinking, in the midst of drowning, will cause death. So drink freely from the living waters now, while the waters are gentle, instead of procrastinating your day of repentance until the floods are upon us.

See me as more than just “your boy.” Because I AM!”

Conclusion: PEACE!

Feed My Sheep (724 Words)

Word produces oneness. Servant offers a message of abundance. Christ offers to add light.

A much better translation on Christ’s instruction to Peter to, “Feed My Sheep” is available in the New Testament of St. John. It accurately describes the principle of “line upon line,” so that it can produce, in all, the ability to ACTUALLY grow, increase, and be added upon, …rather than being used as a poor excuse. The image I have included describes the concept, so that I can minimize the words, leaving you more time to think. Check-it-out.

Rather than simply repeating, “Feed My Sheep,” it’s better translated as a three step progression. The first time Christ said it, He said, “Feed My Sheep …as they grow.” The second time Christ said, “Feed My Sheep …as they increase.” And the last time He said, “Feed My Sheep …as they are added upon.” I’m going to connect the concept, with my picture so that you can understand what I’m saying, and then I’ll let you discern if I’m telling the truth or not.

The three steps to the process ought to be familiar to you by now, as I have written it before. Each step is precisely one line upon another: Word, Servant, Christ. I have coupled each line with what you ought to expect as a deliverable, the thing you get out of it, if it is done properly: grow, increase, added upon. Let me explain.

The words of Christ, when properly used as a liahona, was intended to direct you, by producing in you a clear and active mind. The saints who treated them lightly were identified by Joseph Smith as having been darkened in their minds (D&C 84:54). This resulted in the condemnation of the whole church, even all of Zion. If we treat it appropriately, it will grow the saints who take it seriously, and melds together their hearts and minds. Otherwise, they will fall apart like glass, through contention, jarrings, and strife. Oneness is the deliverable.

The Servant only holds value in His ability to convey a message received from the presence of God. It’s the message that matters, not the messenger. We are to hear and see the message, …and if we are prepared with the words of Christ written upon our hearts, we can discern the message, whether it is truth or unbelief. The image in the drawing shows a man atop a mountain, representing the personal visitation with Christ, …what qualifies a servant. The people who have been united by the words of Christ can now increase, as a servant delivers further light and knowledge, following the same pattern as a servant did for Adam when he didn’t know why he offered sacrifices. An increase in our faith, to produce greater faith, is what produces abundance, …and abundance is the deliverable.

Finally, when you have received the word, and you have received the servant, you are now prepared to receive Christ. In the presence of Christ, more light is added upon you, to prepare for entering into the presence of the Father, as was done in 3 Nephi 19. Each time Christ prayed, and returned, the countenances of the people had greater and greater light. They were added upon. Adding more light is the deliverable.

Conclusion: Line upon line, precept upon precept, as it is used in church today, is a poor excuse to slow down the progression process, to make more time for us to continue living in sin. It was never intended to do that. It was intended to progress to become one, to produce an increase in abundance, and to have more light added upon us.

All of my life the phrase has been misused, and justified to maintain status quo, so that change is unnecessary, and we can all go back to our worldly aspirations. That has produced idleness in the saints, our condemnation has not been removed, and it continues to have a damning effect upon us. That should not continue.

Let’s begin the process among our family by taking the first step, reading the words of Christ, and praying to God for our families unity. While we might be a really good family, we are far from being one, and even further from being one based upon writing the words of Christ upon our hearts. We can begin there.

A Boxing Lesson (1013 Words)

Today I want to share with you A Boxing Lesson. From Boxing, I will expand it to connect with the words of Christ (of course). And finally, I’ll try to set it up so that the gospel principle can be applied in any circumstance.

My wife and two of my children have been taking Boxing Lessons since December. In our classes there are people of all degrees of skill level. It was a rude awakening for me, as I learned that I didn’t know as much as I thought I knew about boxing. However, over the past three months I have observed our progress, and have extracted A Boxing Lesson.

The lesson is really simple. It is a stepping stone of progression, …that is usually taken out of order, …AND often goes unnoticed by both students and coaches. Consider these four attributes:

  1. Mind- the right mentality to pace yourself through the difficulty of the work
  2. Technique- the proper footwork, punching technique, and defensive responses
  3. Repetition- the proper practice, that makes permanent
  4. Intensity- increasing the magnitude of your effort, but targeted through your repetition of technique

What usually happens when people first start boxing is, they put their heads down, and they punch until they can’t punch anymore (not very long either). They immediately skip the mind and technique steps, and justify their ignorance in repetition. When repetition isn’t producing the desired results, we immediately do it harder, increasing intensity. The few who can endure the wrong mind, the wrong technique, for a long period of repetition, in high intensity, …they are guaranteed to get INJURED. Repentance, for these, requires them to humble themselves to restart, by getting the right frame of mind, so that they can be taught proper technique, increase in repeated technique, and added upon in intensity.

Coaches are more guilty than students, for not recognizing this process, to grow, increase and add upon their students. If they are coaches, they must have gone through this process, and should be able to personally walk each student towards their own discovery of success. However, in their pride, coaches typically cater to their best performing student, to cut the process short. In a class or group of students, with differing levels of mindtechniquerepetition, and intensity, coaches must engage appropriately with their students, for their ability to progress. Likewise, parents must treat each individual child, based on their ability to progress as well.

Now the fun part. How does it apply to the gospel? It’s an easy transition, really:

  1. Mind = ?
  2. Technique = Faith (knowledge of the words of Christ)
  3. Repetition = Hope (exercising what you know, by repeatedly aligning your actions to what you claim to believe. When actions are based on the knowledge of truth, hope increases, and becomes an expectation)
  4. Intensity = Charity (this is the point of mastery and certainty. You are so confident that your sacrifice is acceptable to God, and aligned with His mind and will, that you are willing to sacrifice all things for the benefit of others- true charity)

I left a question mark for Mind, because I wanted to draw some attention their for a moment. Think about it, what comes before faith? If you guessed “belief,” then you were absolutely correct! (If you didn’t, don’t tell anyone, and just take the credit:)

Everyone, at the beginning of a learning process, must experiment, …even if it is only to believe in a portion of what is offered. There are so many things fighting for your attention, that you are required to use your agency, and choose what you want to give your attention to. If you choose to exercise your belief in a advertisement for a weight loss, it might lead you to purchase a gym membership, gym clothes, gym equipment, only to find out that the advise they are selling you only produces results on a subscription basis. And either you must continue to pay the price, as the price goes higher and higher, or loose the reward. Or you may have been taught poor technique, and that resulted in injury. The point is that either you are being led to truth, or belief. Or you are being led to partial truth, mixed with lies, …dressing you in the robes of unbelief.

In my most recent years, I have chosen to reduce the channels of information, to focus on the areas that I find the most truth, in the greatest of abundance, in it’s most pure form. I have re-evaluated my life to seek to remove unbelief, or false beliefs, in hopes to accumulate more truth, and filter out the lies or mixed truths used by the enemy of my soul. I’d recommend you do the same.

I’ll restate the four step process in order, and then identify it’s antithesis:

  1. Mind/Beleif- antithesis: Unbelief/false belief/vain or ineffective belief
  2. Technique/Faith- antithesis: Ignorance of the truth
  3. Repetition/Hope- antithesis: Fear
  4. Intensity/Charity/Mastery- antithesis: Anger and Destruction

Now, consider your lives, and ask yourself where your heart is. Are you putting on belief, or unbelief? Is your mind right? Next, where did you learn your technique from? Is it a source that you can trust? If you built upon this source for a long time, will it produce in you a firm foundation of rock for you to build upon? When considering your day in, and day out, ask yourself what you repeat on a daily basis. And then consider what you are choosing to become by what you repeat. And finally, if all of the previous steps have been done properly, you will be able to offer up great sacrifices, and accomplish mighty miracles, in POWER!

Conclusion: We are distracted by many things that are good. We could make better choices by reducing the unprofitable activities, for actions of productivity. However, our best choice would be to focus upon the words of Christ. Doing so will not only produce prosperity in this life, it also produces the greatest potential in the life to come. Good, better, best, …never let it rest, …until your good, is better, and your better, best!

Laman & Lemuel: Part 6- Hearts Must Turn (1181)

Hearts Must Turn to Fathers

Hearts Must Turn. The spirit of Elijah leads to identifying a living Father, then to turning to the fathers (receiving instruction), and finally being sealed as an equal heir with Christ.

In order to be sealed to the heaves Hearts Must Turn! Although Laman & Lemuel used their agency to fall away, Lehi’s promise gave Lamanite descendants the opportunity to do what their parents failed to do, turn their hearts to Lehi; or in other words, the covenant fathers. Once the remnant of Lehi re-connect to the fathers, and are taught by them, they will be sealed through the fathers to Christ. Consider the instructions I am offering.

The last blog was A Parent’s Worst Nightmare, which was about the temporary falling apart of Lehi’s family after his death, as Laman & Lemuel sought to kill their brother Nephi. Parent’s spend so much time and effort to build and strengthen their family, only to have it destroyed once they die. BUT… Lehi was given a covenant; and through that covenant, Lehi extended a blessing to the children of Laman & Lemuel, offering them a chance to return. The condition of their return is that their Hearts Must Turn to the covenant fathers of their time (living), and Lehi’s record would aid them in making that return.

The descendants of both the Laminates and the Nephites were all eventually scattered, after having rejected the covenants of their fathers (Lehi & Nephi). The strength of the covenant to Lehi and Nephi promised to reach beyond their time, into these last days, to redeem those who would do the work that Laman & Lemuel wouldn’t do, and turn their hearts to the promises made to the ancient fathers, written in the scriptures. Lamanite King, Lamoni, when he was taught by Ammon (a covenanted father), offered to sacrifice all to know God, repented and returned to the covenant given to Lehi. King Lamoni’s father was taught the same, by Aaron (a covenanted father), and he too sacrificed all things to know God, repented, and Lehi’s covenant was renewed with him too. Anti-nephi-lehi was King Lamoni’s younger brother, and he participated in burying their weapons, to belong to the same covenant given to Lehi, and his children’s generation was what comprised of the 2,000 stripling warriors. Theirs is a pattern to show us, that if we are to receive Lehi’s covenant just the same, our Hearts Must Turn. The pattern is outlined in what Moroni (or Nephi) gave to Joseph Smith Jr.

JSH 1:39

39. He also quoted the next verse differently: And he shall plant in the hearts of the children the promises made to the fathers, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers. If it were not so, the whole earth would be utterly wasted at his coming.”

When you finally pick up the scriptures, and take your studies seriously, you will then have planted in your heart “the promises made to the fathers.” Only then can you begin to turn your heart to the fathers, by authenticating their message against the words of Christ that swelled, sprouted, and began to grow (Alma 32:30-32). You will know the living fathers because they teach the pure doctrine through the words of Christ. They will not be telling warm, fuzzy, and entertaining stories, to get your emotions triggered, as we have falsely identified emotions with the Holy Ghost. It will be pure knowledge, pure intelligence, and enlightening. But, if you’re unfamiliar with the words of Christ, you will be caught up, with the LDS church, in the large and spacious building, pointing the finger and mocking the saints. When your heart is turned to the fathers, they will turn their hearts to you, to teach you of the mysteries of God, until you know them in FULL ( Alma 12:10). With fathers and children as one heart and one mind, now we have the makings of Zion.

Once the remnant of Lehi re-connect to the living fathers, and are taught by them, they will be sealed, through the fathers, to Christ. While the instruction between fathers and children does not require a building or church, and can be performed in a park, in a room, out in the garage, etc. The sealing must be done only in a temple connected to heaven. You know it is connected to heaven because Christ will dwell there personally, to reintroduce you to the heavens and the POWERS of the heavens.

Conclusion: The LDS Church has followed the same pattern as the Catholics, but have done it in less then half the time. Their attention has placed emphasis on the church building, the stake houses, and the empty temples, costing the widow’s mite billions of dollars of slave money. They have raised up unto themselves kings, in their offices and administrative positions, and have dismissed the necessity to develop the skill to know the voice of the Lord, and to identify a true servant delivering a message from God (Angel).

The drawing I added to this blog is a lineage that ties all to the family of God. That is Zion. When the government of Zion returns among us in the flesh, Enoch’s Zion will return to join them. They are the ones prophesied of that “…they that come shall burn them.” Once that is established all governments will fall apart. God allows the wicked to to kill the wicked. He allows the wicked to kill the righteous. But when Zion is established, God will never allow the wicked to kill Zion.

IN YOUR CURRENT STATE OF IGNORANCE, YOU ARE NOT YET CONNECTED TO THE FATHERS, AND HAVE NO PLACE IN ZION! Turn your hearts to the promises made to the fathers, written in modern scripture. Familiarize yourself with that material by talking to me, or to anyone who understands, but doesn’t need the filter of the LDS church. We can help you through your difficulty of letting go of foolish and false traditions of unbelief. Over your invested time in the scriptures, you will naturally become familiar with those words, then you will hunger and thirst after them, and finally, as you ask questions, you’ll notice that no one in the church has the answers, leading you on a quest ( just like the wisemen following the star to Bethlehem) to find a living father. You must use the knowledge you’ve gained from the scriptures to test the voice of anyone claiming to be God’s servant. Then you will be prepared to recognize the voice of the Lord in a living father, and can leave the institutional church, to be taught of him, to complete your return, being sealed to the family of God.

Failure to acquire a connection to the fathers will leave you neither root nor branch in that great and terrible day. That’s a prophecy of being cut off as a family, having no posterity, and no eternal life. You are currently being tested to see if you can hear the voice of the Lord. You cannot wing-it by not studying the words of Christ. God will not be mocked.

Good Luck Young Padowan!
